Montreux Volley Masters
The Montreux Volley Masters (founded as the Coupe des Nations, later changed to BCV Volley Cup between 1990 and 1996 and to its final name in 1998) was an international invitational tournament for national teams in women's volleyball hosted by the Swiss Volley. Held annually in Montreux, Switzerland since 1984, it was the tournament that opened the international season for national teams. It ceased to exist after 34 editions in 2020. The main objective of this competition was to work as a preparation for more important and prestigious volleyball tournaments organized by the ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB), such as the World Grand Prix, the World Championship, the World Cup and the Olympic Games. Many national teams used the tournament as a way of giving experience and international baggage to young players and, as a result, countries were often represented by their underage national teams. The Poland women's national volleyball team ( Polish: ''Reprezentacja Polski w piłce siatkowej kobiet'') represents Poland in international volleyball competition. The team is controlled by the Polish Volleyball Federation (''Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej'', PZPS), the governing body for volleyball in Poland, which represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. Fabiana De Oliveira
Fabiana "Fabi" Alvim de Oliveira (born 7 March 1980) is a Brazilian retired volleyball player who won the gold medal at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Career Fabiana started playing volleyball at the age of 13, specializing in defense - and later the libero position - due to her short height. De Oliveira was first called up to the Brazil women's national volleyball team in 2002, under coach Marco Aurélio Motta. She lost her place under his replacement, José Roberto Guimarães, and only returned to being a mainstay of the team in 2005. At the 2007 Pan American Games, held in Rio de Janeiro, de Oliveira and the Brazilian team won the silver medal. Caroline de Oliveira Saad Gattaz, better known as Carol Gattaz (; born July 27, 1981), is a Brazilian volleyball player. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the Volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament, Women's tournament, winning a silver medal. A single-elimination knockout, or sudden-death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of a match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. The Japan women's national volleyball team (Hinotori Nippon, 火の鳥NIPPON), or ''All-Japan women's volleyball team'', is currently ranked 7th in the world by FIVB. The head coach is Ferhat Akbaş.
