2009 Monterrey Open
The 2009 Monterrey Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the first edition of the Monterrey Open and was categorized as an International tournament on the 2009 WTA Tour. It took place at the Sierra Madre Tennis Club in Monterrey, Mexico, from 2 March through 8 March 2009. The tournament included four players who were ranked in the top 20: Agnieszka Radwańska; Marion Bartoli, the 2009 Brisbane runner-up; Flavia Pennetta, the 2009 Acapulco runner-up; and Zheng Jie. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International tournaments was a category for tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. As of 2021 these events have been reclassified as WTA 250 tournaments. The winner of a WTA 250 tournament adds 250 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, there were 20 WTA 250, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,094. Gisela Dulko
Gisela Dulko (; born 30 January 1985) is an Argentine former tennis player. Although she enjoyed modest success in singles, reaching a career-high ranking of world No. 26 and winning four WTA Tour, WTA titles, her speciality was doubles, where she achieved the List of WTA number 1 ranked doubles tennis players, world No. 1 ranking and won 17 WTA titles. Vania King (born February 3, 1989) is a retired American tennis player. A former top-10 doubles player, King won both the Wimbledon and US Open women's doubles titles in 2010 with partner Yaroslava Shvedova, with whom she also reached the final of the 2011 US Open. She won a total of 15 doubles titles on the WTA Tour and reached a career-high ranking of No. 3 in the world.
