Al Jazeera ( ar, الجزيرة, translit-std=DIN, translit=al-jazīrah, , "The Island") is a state-owned Arabic-language international radio and TV broadcaster of Qatar. Al-Mehraab Martyr List
List of the Martyr al-Mehraab and the Independent Forces, ( ar, قائمة شهيد المحراب والقوى المستقلة), commonly known as the al-Mehraab Martyr List was a Shi'a Islamist, Iraqi political coalition formed for the 2009 Iraqi governorate elections by the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq. It was the largest party in the Council of Representatives of Iraq and won the most seats and votes in the Iraqi elections of 2006. The list won control of 8 out of Iraq's 18 governorates, including 6 of the country's 9 Shi'a governorates. Independent Free Movement List
The Sadrist Movement ( ar, التيار الصدري ') is an Iraqi Islamic national movement led by Muqtada al-Sadr. The movement draws wide support from across Iraqi society and especially from the Shi'a poor in the country. The most important person in setting the goals and the philosophy of the movement was Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammad Sadeq al-Sadr. A prominent preceding influence had also been Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr. The movement is religious and populist. Its goal is a society ordered by a combination of religious laws and tribal customs. The Iraqi Accord Front or Iraqi Accordance Front (Arabic: جبهة التوافق العراقية ''Jabhet Al-Tawafuq Al-'Iraqiyah'') also known as Tawafuq is an Iraqi Sunni political coalition created on October 26, 2005 by the Iraqi Islamic Party to contest the December 2005 general election. The State of Law Coalition ( ar, إئتلاف دولة القانون ''I'tilāf Dawlat al-Qānūn''), also known as Rule of Law Coalition, is an Iraqi political coalition formed for the 2009 Iraqi governorate elections by the Prime Minister of Iraq at the time, Nouri al-Maliki, of the Islamic Dawa Party. The name was an emphasis on the improved security situation which Maliki's government had achieved through the Battle of Basra and other operations of the Iraqi Security Forces.
