National Indoor Arena
Utilita Arena Birmingham (previously known as Arena Birmingham, The Barclaycard Arena, originally as the National Indoor Arena and still commonly called The NIA) is an indoor arena and sporting venue in central Birmingham, England. It is owned by parent company the NEC Group. When it was opened in 1991, it was the largest indoor arena in the UK. The arena is located alongside the Birmingham Canal Navigations Main Line's Old Turn Junction and opposite the National Sea Life Centre in Brindleyplace. The building straddles the main Birmingham to Wolverhampton Intercity railway line (originally the Stour Valley Line), but does not have a station of its own. There are three adjoining car parks with a total of 2,156 spaces. Close to the arena is The ICC which is also owned by the NEC Group. Hwang Ji-man
Hwang Ji-man (; ; born 8 July 1984) is a badminton player from South Korea. Career Hwang started playing badminton when he was in Miryang elementary school, and when he was 17, Hwang was chosen to represent the National Junior team. Hwang played at the 2007 BWF World Championships in men's doubles with Lee Jae-jin. They were seeded 10 and were defeated in the third round by Candra Wijaya and Tony Gunawan, 21–17, 21–16. In Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, Hwang and his partner Lee won their first bronze medal after upsetting Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah in the first round, Tadashi Ohtsuka/ Keita Masuda in the quarter-final, but defeated by Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng of China in the semifinal. Ha Jung-eun
Ha Jung-eun (; born 26 April 1987) is a women's and mixed doubles badminton player from South Korea. Ha was competed at the 2006, 2010 Asian Games, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Together with the Korean national women's team, they won the Uber Cup in 2010. At the same year, she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in the mixed doubles event. Career Ha was competed at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Richmond, Canada, reached the semi-finals round in the girs' singles and doubles event. At the 2004 and 2005 Asian Junior Championships, she achieved the best result by winning the 2005 mixed doubles title partnered with Lee Yong-dae. Ko Sung-hyun (; ; born 21 May 1987) is a South Korean badminton player affiliated with Gimcheon City Hall. He is a former world number 1 both in the men's and mixed doubles. Yu Yang (; born 7 April 1986) is a retired Chinese badminton player specializing in doubles. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, three time World Champion and four time Asian Champion. Yu was part of the China winning team in four Sudirman Cup, three Uber Cup, two Asian Games, and in a Asia Team Championships. Zhao Yunlei
Zhao Yunlei (born 25 August 1986) is a mixed and women's doubles badminton player from China. She graduated with a BA from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She is the first and only badminton player to have ever won two gold medals in the same Olympic edition, winning in both the mixed and women's doubles categories in Badminton at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012. Zhao joins the ranks with nine other players with two Olympic gold medals, the highest number of gold medals won by any badminton player.
