The 2008–09 WICB President's Cup was the 35th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). West Indies Cricket Board
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly Commonwealth Caribbean, English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies). It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. This rebranding formally occurred in May 2017. CWI has been a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1926. Dale Richards
Dale Maurice Richards (born 16 July 1976) is a former West Indian international cricketer who played first class cricket for Barbados. A right-handed batsman, Richards debuted in 1999/2000. His highest first class score of 159 was made against Jamaica in the Carib Beer Series of 2006/07. Richards was called up for the West Indies' tour of England in 2009 but although he featured in two warm-up matches, he was forced to return home with a shoulder injury. He subsequently made his Test debut against Bangladesh when a number of West Indian players made themselves unavailable. He played both Tests, scoring 108 runs with a top score of 69. Umar Bhatti (born 4 January 1984) is a Pakistani-born Canadian cricketer. He was born in the Province of Punjab in the city of Lahore. He is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm medium-pace bowler. Sunil Dhaniram (born 17 October 1968) is a former Canadian cricketer and a former captain of the national team, who played ODIs and T20Is. He formerly played for Guyana from 1993 to 1995.
