2008–09 KFC Twenty20 Big Bash
The 2008–09 KFC Twenty20 Big Bash was the 4th season of the official Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. Six teams representing six states in Australia participated in the competition. The competition began on 26 December 2008 when the Queensland Bulls took on the New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales Blues at the Brisbane Cricket Ground (Gabba). This season comprised 15 regular matches, a preliminary final and a final, the same as was in the 2007–08 KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, 2007–08 season except with the addition of the preliminary final. Table Teams received 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie or no result, and 0 for a loss. Moises Henriques
Moisés Constantino Henriques ( ; born 1 February 1987) is an Australian international cricketer who plays for Australia cricket team, Australia, New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales and the Sydney Sixers. Doug Bollinger
Douglas Erwin Bollinger (born 24 July 1981) is a former Australian cricketer. He has played first-class cricket for the New South Wales cricket team and international cricket for Australia. He is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm fast bowler. Nathan Reardon
Nathan Jon Reardon (born 8 November 1984) is an Australian former professional cricketer. He primarily played as a batsman in limited overs matches, playing for his home state of Queensland from 2005 to 2016. He also played Twenty20 cricket in the Big Bash League for four different teams, and represented Australia in two Twenty20 Internationals in November 2014. Chris Simpson (cricketer)
Christopher Patrick Simpson (born 9 January 1982) is a former Australian cricketer who captained Queensland from 2007 to 2010 and has been chairman of Queensland Cricket since July 2019. He was a right-arm offbreak bowler and right-handed batsman. Simpson attended school at Villanova College in Coorparoo, where he played for the 1st XI from grade 9 to 12. Simpson was originally a fast bowler, turning to offspin in 2001–02. Marcus James North (born 28 July 1979) is a former Australian first-class cricketer who played 21 Test matches and two One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Australian national side. Born in Melbourne, North grew up in Western Australia, attending Kent Street Senior High School as part of their Specialist Cricket Program, and was a successful junior cricketer, entering the Australian Cricket Academy and playing under-19 cricket for Australia.
