During the 2008–09 Serie A, 2008–09 season, AC Milan, Milan played its Serie A, 75th Serie A season in the club's existence. Milan would also compete in the 2008-09 Coppa Italia and 2008-09 UEFA Cup, UEFA Cup after a 5th place finish the 2007-08 Serie A, Previous Season. Milan would finish third in Serie A, 10 points behind champions and rivals Inter Milan. Milan also failed to win the Coppa Italia or UEFA Cup meaning they finished without a trophy for the first time since 2005-06 AC Milan season, 2006. This season marked Carlo Ancelotti's final season in charge of Milan as he resigned after Milan's final game of the season. (), commonly referred to as Milan or AC Milan () mainly outside of Italy, is an Italian professional Football club (association football), football club based in Milan, Lombardy.
