2007–08 Ukrainian Hockey Championship
The 2007–08 Ukrainian Hockey League season was the 15th season of the Ukrainian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Ukraine. Six teams participated in the league, and HC Sokil Kyiv II won the championship. Ukrainian Hockey Championship
The Ukrainian Hockey Championship (, '' tr: Chempionat Ukrayiny z Khokeyu'') is an annual ice hockey award and national title, bestowed to the ice hockey organization judged to have the best performing team in Ukraine, founded in 1992. Prior to the 2015–16 season, the league playing for the title took the name Ukrainian Hockey Extra League. In 2016, the new Ukrainian Hockey League was created instead, which folded in 2021. History First Ukrainian hockey competitions were conducting since February 1949. Prior to the formation of the Professional Hockey League (PHL), the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine (FHU) administered and handed out the award, allowing both amateur and professional teams to compete in an annual regular season, then playoff for the title. Sokil Kyiv
Hockey Club Sokil Kyiv (; ), commonly known as Sokil Kyiv, HC Sokil, or HC Sokol Kiev, is a Ukrainian professional ice hockey team based in Kyiv. While their home arena is located in the city, the team also plays out of Brovary, still within the Kyiv region. They are a founding club of the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine, and have formerly competed in the national leagues of Belarus, Russia, and the Soviet Union. Until 2014 Sokil remained the oldest and most accomplished team in Ukrainian hockey, winning 12 of the 19 Ukrainian Hockey Championships held since 1992. Bilyi Bars Brovary
Hockey Club Bilyi Bars Bila Tserkva () is a Ukrainian professional ice hockey team based in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine. The club was a founding member of the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine and now playing in the Ukrainian Hockey League. History The Bilyi Bars were founded in 2008. They began play in Brovary (Kyiv Oblast). Twice that team won the silver of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship (2008, 2009) In 2012, the club found a new sponsor. HK ATEK Kyiv was an ice hockey team in Kyiv, Ukraine. The team played in the Ukrainian Hockey League, the top level of Ukrainian ice hockey. They were founded in 1994, and were Ukrainian champions in 2007. Their last appearance in the Ukrainian Hockey League came during the 2008-09 UkHL season, 2008–09 season.
