2007–08 UCI America Tour
The 2007–08 UCI America Tour was the fourth season for the UCI America Tour. The season began on 7 October 2007 with the Clásico Ciclístico Banfoandes and ended on 20 September 2008 with the Vuelta Mexico. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Svein Tuft of Canada was the defending champion of the 2006–07 UCI America Tour. Manuel Medina of Venezuela was crowned as the 2007–08 UCI America Tour champion. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Henry Raabe
Henry Raabe Méndez (born March 14, 1983) is a Costa Rican road racing cyclist. He represented Costa Rica at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's road race. Raabe, however, was lapped and disqualified from the run, before reaching the 185.0 km lap of the course. In August 2020, Raabe was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Team Scott–Marcondes Cesar–São José dos Campos () was a Brazilian UCI Continental road bicycle racing team, based on São José dos Campos. The team was created in 1993 by José Carlos Monteiro, who is the general team manager since its foundation. Alex Diniz
Alex Correia Diniz (born 20 October 1985) is a Brazilian professional racing cyclist, who is currently suspended from the sport. He was born in Recife, and his specialties are climbing and endurance races. He served a two-year drugs ban between 2009 and 2011, after testing positive for erythropoietin (EPO) and his 2009 results were cancelled. In 2013, racing for , Diniz won the queen stage of the Tour de San Luis. He soloed to victory after attacking at the foot of the final climb, the Mirador del Potrero, taking the leader's jersey in the process. In 2017, Diniz was given an eight-year ban for anomalies in his biological passport. The Tour de Santa Catarina (also Volta Ciclística Internacional de Santa Catarina – Portuguese for ''International Cycling Tour of Santa Catarina'') is a multi-stage road bicycle racing event held in the state of Santa Catarina, in the south of Brazil. The first edition was held in 1987. The competition is famous for the traditional mountain stage at Serra do Rio do Rastro, which is one of Brazil's toughest climbs with an average gradient of 10% over an extent of 7 km.
