2007–08 Pakistan Premier League
The 2007–08 season was the 53rd season of Pakistan domestic football and the 4th season of the Pakistan Premier League. It was held from November 1, 2007 to February 6, 2008, under the auspices of Pakistan Football Federation. Changes The Pakistan Football Federation had recently made changes to the league. It was announced that the league strength had been increased to a total of 14 teams with Habib Bank Limited, which was relegated after winning 2 and drawing 6 out of their 20 games the previous season, had been granted permission to field its team. Similarly, Pakistan Airlines, which had withdrawn its entry from the last year's edition at the eleventh hour, were also to feature in the coming event. Format A total of 182 matches will be played at different venues in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Chaman, and Faisalabad. Pakistan Premier League
The Pakistan Premier League (PPL; ) is a Pakistani semi-professional league for men's football clubs. The top tier of the Pakistan football league system, the PPL operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the PFFL B Division. The league has remained inactive since the end of the 2014–15 season. The 2018–19 season was held in between after three years of inactivity, however it was reportedly not recognised by FIFA and AFC, as it was completed under a non-FIFA recognised body a month before the termination of the event. Since inception of the Pakistan Premier League in 2004, four clubs have won the title: Khan Research Laboratories (5) WAPDA (4), Pakistan Army (2) and K-Electric (1). KESC F
KESC (99.7 FM) is a non-commercial radio station that is licensed to Morro Bay, California, and broadcasts to the San Luis Obispo area. The station is owned by the University of Southern California (USC) and rebroadcasts the classical music format of KUSC in Los Angeles. History The station first signed on May 1, 1991, as KWWV and broadcast an adult contemporary music format. KWWV was acquired by Salisbury Broadcasting in 1994. Afghan FC Chaman
Afghan Football Club Chaman, or simply AFC Chaman, is a Pakistani professional football club based in Chaman, Balochistan, a border city of Pakistan near Afghanistan. The club last competed in the Pakistan Premier League. History Early years The club was founded in 1960 as Afghan Agency Chaman. The Nazim of Chaman Abdul Qayyum Khadakoo was one of the founding members of the club. On 27 June 1965 they won the "All Pakistan Tournament" in Sibi which became their first ever tournament victory in Pakistan. In 1967 they competed in "All Pakistan General Musa Tournament" held at Quetta. In 1999 they competed in All-Pakistan Prime Minister's Peace Cup, where they were placed in group F with WAPDA and Khan Research Laboratories, they lost both their matches 1–0, knocking them out of the tournament. Pakistan Standard Time (, abbreviated as PKT) is UTC+05:00 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. The time zone is in use during standard time in Asia. History Present day Pakistan had been following UTC+05:30 since 1907 (during the British Raj) and continued using it after independence in 1947. On 15 September 1951, following the findings of mathematician Mahmood Anwar, two time zones were introduced. AFC President's Cup
The AFC Challenge League (previously known as the AFC President's Cup, abbreviated as ACGL) is an annual third-tier continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation. The competition is played among clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots to the top-tier AFC Champions League Elite or the second-tier AFC Champions League Two, based on the AFC club competitions ranking. The 2024–25 season marked its inaugural edition in the new format.
