The 2007–2008 Jordan League was the 56th season of Jordan Premier League, the top-flight league for Jordanian association football clubs. The championship was won by Al-Wehdat, while Al Ramtha and Al-Ahli were relegated. A total of 10 teams participated. Jordan League
The Jordanian Pro League () is a Jordanian professional league for men's football clubs and represents the top flight of Jordanian football. The championship consists of twelve competing teams in a home and away league system. The league was not held in the years: 1948, 1953, 1957, 1958, 1967, 1968, 1969, and not finished in 1998. In 2002, the league changed calendar to a fall spring season, and in 2020 the league returned to a spring fall season. From the 2023-24 season, the Jordan Football Association, JFA decided to return to the fall spring calendar to match the date of the league with the Asian championships. Al-Arabi (Jordan Football Club)
Al-Arabi Irbid Sports Club () is a football club based in Irbid, Jordan which currently competes in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Jordanian football. History Al-Arabi Sports Club's origins began when a group of 22 young intellectuals were interested in establishing a place, where they could gather and practice their various hobbies. Thus, the Acting and Music Club was formed in 1945. The club began as one that focused on youth culture and music, and sports was not a focus of the club at the time. It established its sports branch in 1955, under the current name Al-Arabi SC. Al-Arabi SC is considered to be one of the oldest football clubs formed in Jordan, and the oldest club in Northern Jordan. According to Fayez Salim, the football team rose to the ranks of the Premier League team and was the first team from Irbid to win the Jordan FA Cup in 1986 and is still the only team from the city of Irbid to have won it as of 2024. Ar Ramtha
Ar-Ramtha (), colloquially transliterated as Ar-Romtha (), is a city situated in the far northwest of Jordan near the border with Syria. It covers 40 km2 on a plain 30 km northeast of the Jordan River and Irbid. In 2017, Ar-Ramtha had a population of approximately 164,211, making it the eleventh largest city in Jordan, and the second in Irbid Governorate, and the city has grown since then.
