2007–08 FK Qarabağ Season
The Qarabağ 2007–08 season was Qarabağ's 15th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their only full season with Rasim Kara as their manager. They finished the season in 5th place, and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the Quarterfinal stage by Inter Baku. FC Baku (), founded as Dinamo Baku in 1997, was an Azerbaijani football club based in Baku that had been an amateur club since 2016. Prior to that, Baku played 18 seasons in the Azerbaijan Premier League, winning the championship twice and the National Cup three times. The club ceased operations in 2018. History Early years (1997–2004) Led by Shamil Heydarov, Dinamo finished 2nd and entered the 1998–99 UEFA Cup, but was eliminated by Argeş Piteşti 1–7 on aggregate in the preliminary round. Turan Tovuz () is an Azerbaijani football club based in Tovuz. The club won the Azerbaijan championship once, in 1994–1995. The club's home stadium is Tovuz City Stadium. History Founded by Vidadi Ahmedov on 23 February 1992, the club was the first Azerbaijani professional football club under the name of Turan Tovuz. Mil-Muğan FK was an Azerbaijani football club based in Imishli that last played in the Azerbaijan First Division. The club was founded in 2004 by МКТ Istehsalat-Kommersiya, a cotton manufacturing company. History The club was immediately admitted to the AFFA Supreme League after its formation. They finished 8th in 2004/05 and 9th in 2005/06. In 2006 the club also played in the UEFA Intertoto Cup due to the rejection of several Azerbaijan clubs in this competition. Although it was successful in winning the home game against Moldovan Tiraspol in the first stage (1:0), the club lost in Moldova (1:2) and thus, was out of the tournament. Isaac Pupo
Isaac Pupo (born October 23, 1985) is a Liberian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Watanga FC. He also played for Liberia national football team. In August 2007 Pupo signed for FK Qarabağ in the Azerbaijan Premier League on a one-year contract. Whilst with Qarabağ, Pupo won the player of the month and attracted interest from several Turkish sides, namely Denizlispor, Trabzonspor and Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ. After one season with Qarabağ, and the club apparently unwilling to match Pupo's wage demands, Pupo signed for newly promoted Azerbaijan Premier League side NBC Salyan.
