Sarnia
Sarnia is a city in Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. It had a 2021 population of 72,047, and is the largest city on Lake Huron. Sarnia is located on the eastern bank of the junction between the Upper and Lower Great Lakes where Lake Huron flows into the St. Clair River in the Southwestern Ontario region, which forms the Canada–United States border, directly across from Port Huron, Michigan. The site's natural harbour first attracted the French explorer La Salle. He named the site "The Rapids" on 23 August 1679, when he had horses and men pull his 45-ton barque ''Le Griffon'' north against the nearly four-knot current of the St. Clair River. Career Corner was a member of the 1993 "dream team" of his cousin Wayne Middaugh and the brothers of Glenn and Russ Howard. Corner played lead for the team. All four players would skip teams to provincial championships in the future. In 1993, the team won the Brier and World Championship. Corner played in his first national championships at the 1987 Canadian Junior Curling Championships playing third for Middaugh. The team lost in the final to New Brunswick's Jim Sullivan. Corner joined forces with the Howards in 1990, and qualified for their first Brier in 1991. However, at the 1991 Labatt Brier, the team missed the playoffs with a 6-5 record. Mark Bice
Mark Bice (born October 10, 1984 in Sarnia, Ontario) is a Canadian curler. He used to skip a team on the World Curling Tour. Career Bice had a fairly successful junior career. Bice is a two time provincial junior champion, winning in 2003 and 2005 and was a provincial schoolboy champion in 2002. In 2003, his rink of Mike Callan, Rob Pruliere and Jeff Wilson finished with a 7-5 record at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships- out of the playoffs. In 2005, they went to the Canadian Juniors again, this time with Codey Maus replacing Callan. The team finished second after the round robin with a 9-3 record. After defeating Ian Fitzner-LeBlanc's Nova Scotia rink in the semi-final, Bice lost in the final match, against Saskatchewan's Kyle George. Jason "Jay" Young (born September 20, 1979) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from Wyoming, Ontario. Young is a former World Junior Curling champion. In 1999, Young joined the World Junior champion John Morris (curler), John Morris rink from the Ottawa Curling Club. He replaced Andy Ormsby in the second position. The team won the 1999 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and 1999 World Junior Curling Championships for the second straight year, but the first title for Young. The following season, Young formed his own team, and won his second Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships, Junior championships. At the 2000 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, Canadian Juniors that year, the team finished 9–3, but lost in a tiebreaker to Saskatchewan. Heath McCormick
Heath McCormick (born August 7, 1976) is a Canadian- American curler from Sarnia, Ontario. Career McCormick began curling in 1992 as a junior in Ontario. He competed in the Ontario Junior Curling Championships five times, and won in 1996 playing third for Patrick Ferris. That rink represented Ontario at the 1996 Canadian Junior Curling Championships where they lost in a tie-breaker game to Nova Scotia's Rob Sifton. He also competed in the Ontario's men's provincial championships six times and finished as runner-up in 2003. He was part of the winning team in the 2004 Ontario mixed championship. He lost in the final of the 2004 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship to Shannon Kleibrink of Alberta. In 2010, McCormick returned to the United States after he was recruited by Bill Stopera, Martin Sather, and Dean Gemmell to replace Matt Hames, who was retiring, as skip.
