Yobe State
Yobe is a States of Nigeria, state located in northeastern Nigeria. A mainly agricultural state, it was created on 27 August 1991. Yobe State was carved out of Borno State. The capital of Yobe State is Damaturu, and its largest city by population is Potiskum, while the largest by land area is Fune. Ahmad Lawan
Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan (born 12 January 1959) is a Nigerian politician and former lecturer who served as the 14th president of the Nigerian Senate from 2019 to 2023. He represents the Yobe North Senatorial District in the Senate as a member of the All Progressives Congress. A university lecturer from Gashua, Lawan was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1999 to represent the Bade/Jakusko Constituency as a member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party. Lawan was reelected in 2003 before successfully running to become Yobe North Senator in 2007. Bukar Ibrahim
Bukar Abba Ibrahim (Walin Gujba) (October 1950 – 4 February 2024) was a Nigerian politician who served as the senator representing the Yobe East senatorial district from 2007 to 2019. All Nigeria Peoples Party
The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) was a political party in Nigeria. The ANPP was a household party in the extreme north of Nigeria, primarily due to its mass appeal among more religious voters. It was the strongest opposition party, controlling seven of the nation's thirty-six states at one point. The party's biggest achievement in the 2003 election was its gubernatorial victory in Kano State where it defeated the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) to take control of one of the country's most populous states. Adamu Garba Talba (born 15 August 1952) is a native of Karai-Karai born in Nangere, Yobe State. He was elected Senator for the Yobe South constituency of Yobe State, Nigeria, taking office on 29 May 2007. Education Talba gained a diploma in Public Administration and entered the Yobe State Civil Service. He was twice elected council Chairman of Nangere Local Government Council in Yobe State.
