2007 Movistar Open
The 2007 Movistar Open was a professional men's tennis event on the 2007 ATP Tour in Viña del Mar, Chile, held from 29 January to 4 February 2007. It was the 15th edition of the tournament and was part of the ATP International Series of the 2007 ATP Tour. This was the second tournament of the season (alongside Adelaide, Delray Beach, Buenos Aires and Las Vegas) that implemented a 24-player round robin tournament for the singles competition, as part of the round-robin trials proposed during this season. ATP International Series
The ATP International Series (known from 1990 to 1999 as the ATP World Series) was a series of professional tennis tournaments held internationally as part of the ATP Tour from 2000 to 2008. The series was renamed ATP Tour 250 in 2009. International Series offered players cash prizes (tournaments have purses from $416,000 to $1,000,000) and the ability to earn ATP ranking points. They generally offered less prize money and fewer points than the ATP International Series Gold, but more than tournaments on the ATP Challenger Series. André Rezende Sá (; born 6 May 1977) is a former Brazilian tennis player. Marcelo Pinheiro Davi de Melo (; born September 23, 1983) is a Brazilian professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. He is a former List of ATP number 1 ranked doubles tennis players, world No. 1, which he achieved in 2 November 2015. Diego Junqueira (; born December 28, 1980) is a tennis coach and former professional player from Argentina. He plays left-handed with a double-handed backhand and his highest singles rank was world no.68, achieved on March 9, 2009. Albert Portas Soy (, ; born 15 November 1973) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 19 in October 2001. Career Portas turned professional in 1994. His first and only top-level singles title came at the 2001 Hamburg Masters tournament, where as a qualifier he defeated Juan Carlos Ferrero in the final. His mastery of the drop shot (key to his victory in the final) earned him the nickname "Drop Shot Dragon". According to the BBC, Lleyton Hewitt said of Portas that "He sure hits a lot of drop shots, but he hits them so well, as well as anyone I have faced."
