The 2007 season was Molde's 1st season back in the Adeccoligaen after relegation from the Tippeligaen in 2006. They finished in 1st position in the league and in the Norwegian Cup they were knocked out in the first round by KIL/Hemne. Molde Fotballklubb () is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions (2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 & 2022) and five-time Norwegian Cup winners (1994, 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2021), and have finished second in the league a further nine times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League. The club's home matches are played at the 11,249-capacity Aker Stadion. The stadium was inaugurated in 1998, and was a gift from local businessmen Kjell Inge Røkke and Bjørn Rune Gjelsten. Daniel Berg Hestad
Daniel Berg Hestad (born 30 July 1975) is a Norwegian football manager and a former player, who played as a central midfielder, most notably for Molde. He is the manager of Molde 2 and the Under-19 squad of Molde. With 666 official appearances, he is the player with most official matches for Molde. He currently holds the record for most matches in Eliteserien with 473. He is three time Norwegian league champion, and four times Norwegian Cup champion. He retired from football after playing the Europa League round of 32 game against Sevilla which Molde won 1–0, 25 February 2016, in his 666th match for Molde. Rune Ertsås (born 24 May 1987) is a retired Norwegian footballer who last played as a forward for Steinkjer. He has previously played in Tippeligaen for Molde and Sandefjord. Toni Koskela
Toni Koskela (born 16 February 1983) is a Finnish football coach and a former player. He is currently managing HJK where he followed Mika Lehkosuo. Before that he was head coach of RoPS and before that the Under-19 team of HJK. He had to retire his football career in 2009, aged 26, due to numerous injuries on his knee. After starting his career in Finland, Koskela was snapped up by Football League Championship side Cardiff City but he failed to impress at the club making just three appearances in all competitions, including an FA Cup game against Arsenal. Trond Strande (born 24 November 1970) is a Norwegian football coach and former footballer who is currently assistant coach in Eliteserien club Molde. He spent his entire career playing for Molde FK and was a regular on Molde's team from 1991 to 2007. Club career Strande was born in Molde, and grew up in Elnesvågen.
