2007 LPGA Tour
The 2007 LPGA Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world that took place from February through December 2007. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States–based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). In 2007, prize money on the LPGA Tour was $54.285 million, the highest to date. Lorena Ochoa topped the money list with a record $4,364,994, easily surpassing Annika Sörenstam's previous record of $2,863,904 in 2002. Sörenstam was out most of the 2007 with neck and back injuries. Ochoa led the tour in victories in 2007 with eight wins; Suzann Pettersen of Norway had five. Lorena Ochoa
Lorena Ochoa Reyes (; born 15 November 1981) is a Mexican former professional golfer who played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour from 2003 LPGA Tour, 2003 to 2010 LPGA Tour, 2010. She was the Women's World Golf Rankings#World number ones, top-ranked female golfer in the world for 158 consecutive and total weeks (both are LPGA Tour records), from 23 April 2007 to her retirement on 2 May 2010, at the age of 28 years old. As the first Mexican golfer of either gender to be ranked number one in the world, because of her record, she is considered the best female golfer of all time. Ochoa was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2017. ADT Championship
The ADT Championship was a women's professional golf tournament on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. The season-ending event on the tour, it became the LPGA Playoffs at The ADT from 2006 through 2008. History The tournament was played in its final playoff form for the first time in November 2006; the champion of the event, Julieta Granada, won $1 million, the highest first-place prize in the history of women's golf. The event took place at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. From 1996 through 2005 the tournament was a standard, 72-hole stroke play event. Silvia Cavalleri (born 10 October 1972) is an Italian professional golfer who plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour. She was the first Italian to win a tournament on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career and education Cavalleri was born in Milan, Italy. She won the 1990 Girls Amateur Championship and represented Europe in the Vagliano Trophy five times between 1989 and 1997. Corona Championship
The Tres Marias Championship was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played from 2005 to 2010, at Tres Marias Residential Golf Club in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. From 2005 through 2009 the title sponsor of the tournament was Mexican beer Corona. Lorena Ochoa of Mexico won the event three times: 2006, 2008, and 2009. The 2011 tournament was originally scheduled for April 21–24. Brittany Grace Lincicome (born September 19, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She currently resides in Gulfport, Florida. Meaghan Francella (born May 12, 1982) is an American professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. Early life and amateur career Francella was born in Port Chester, New York and was twice the New York State Junior Champion. She attended high school at the School of the Holy Child in Rye, New York. After high school, she attended the University of Memphis, where she was named Conference USA Freshman of the Year in 2001. Francella transferred to the University of North Carolina for her junior year. Stacy Prammanasudh (born September 23, 1979) is a retired American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour from 2004 to 2013. Amateur career Prammanasudh was born in Enid, Oklahoma, to an American mother and a native Thai father who immigrated to the United States from Thailand. She was raised in Oklahoma, and attended the University of Tulsa where she won the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate from 1999 to 2001 and was a three-year Academic All-American, from 2000 through 2002.
