La Trois
La Trois (''lit: The Three'') is a Belgian national television channel operated by the French-language public-service broadcasting organisation RTBF. It was launched on 30 November 2007 and is distributed via digital terrestrial television, satellite, cable, and IPTV. La Trois timeshares with Auvio Kids TV, a children block, between 6/9 am to 8pm. History La Trois was officially launched on November 30, 2007, with the launch of the RTBF DTT service. Initially, the channel was a copy of RTBF Sat, the international service. After the closure of RTBF Sat on 15 February 2010, La Trois kept the same programming until 25 September 2010, when it started to air its own programming, divided between the children channel Ouftivi during the day, replacing the long-lasting program ''Ici Bla-Bla'' from La Deux, and cultural programming after 8pm. ''Wizzy & Woppy'' is a Flemish children's television show produced by Studio 100, centered on four animal friends who live together in a pet store. The show premiered on August 30, 1999, and the final episode was broadcast in 2007. ''Mega Mindy'' is a Flemish children's television series with a supernatural/superhero drama theme. The series was created by Studio 100 and airs on the Flemish TV channel Ketnet Ketnet is a Flemish public children's television channel in Belgium owned and operated by the Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie, VRT, Flemish public broadcaster. ''X Factor'' was the Flemish version of the British show ''The X Factor'', created by Simon Cowell. The new ''X Factor'' series was a successor to '' Idool'' which features contestants & jury members from both seasons. Television in Belgium was introduced in 1953 and began with one channel each in Dutch and French. The country is heavily cabled, with 93% of households watching television through cable as of 2003. History The three Belgian Communities – Dutch, French and German-speaking – have legal responsibility for audiovisual communication. They constitute separate markets, the common feature of which is the fact that they have been extensively cabled for three decades and are thus able to receive neighbouring countries' channels. Samson En Gert (TV Series)
''Samson & Gert'' is a Dutch-language Belgian children's television series produced by Eline van Noppen, centered on the talking dog Samson and his owner Gert. In its entire run, the show was originally aired on TV1 from Christmas Day 1989 until 1 December 1997, where it moved to Ketnet and continues airing all of its episodes to this day. History Originally Gert Verhulst was a continuity announcer. He wanted to make the announcements before children's television programmes more appealing by having an animal puppet next to him. He got in touch with puppeteer , who created the puppet dog Samson. Samson, a Bearded Collie, made his screen debut in the Christmas period of 1989. (; ) is a Flemish newspaper that mainly focusses on "a broad view" regarding politics, culture, economics, lifestyle, society and sports. History and profile In 1929, was published by for the first time. In 1939, the sports paper ''Sportwereld'' (established in 1912) was purchased by De Standaard and turned into a daily supplement to their two main newspapers, "" and "". In 1957, three other newspapers were purchased by and initially kept in circulation. In 1966, the further publication of two of them, ''Het Nieuws van de Dag'' and ''Het Vrije Volksblad'', was stopped. The same happened with the third paper, Het Handelsblad, in 1979. In 1959, two more newspapers were purchased, of which ''De Landwacht'' disappeared in 1978. The other paper, ''De Gentenaar'', was turned into a "cover-paper" for around the city of Ghent.
