British Darts Organisation
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and amateur darts competitions in Britain. The BDO was a founder member of the World Darts Federation in 1976. It also staged a World Professional Darts Championship from 1978 to 2020. In the early 1990s, a dispute between Olly Croft and the top darts players over the decline in TV coverage and sponsorship led to an acrimonious split in the game, with the players breaking away to form their own governing body which became the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Henceforth, the BDO and PDC ran their own separate tours, each with its own world championship. The BDO suffered an increasing number of problems in its later years. Bo-Göran "Bosse" Larsson (born 5 May 1944) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and striker. Best remembered for his time with Malmö FF, he also represented VfB Stuttgart and Trelleborgs FF during his career. A full international between 1964 and 1978, he won 70 caps for the Sweden national team and scored 17 goals. He also represented Sweden at the 1970, 1974 and 1978 FIFA World Cups. Club career Most of his club career he played for Malmö FF where he won the league championship several times. Between 1966 and 1969 he was an appreciated professional for VfB Stuttgart scoring 21 times in 88 games. Joey ten Berge (born 18 October 1985) is a Dutch former darts player. Career BDO Ten Berge won the 2001 WDF Europe Youth Cup beating Sweden's Markus Korhonen in the final. Six years later, he captured his first professional title by capturing the 2007 Austrian Open, defeating Hungary's Nándor Bezzeg in the final. He followed up by winning the Open Oost Nederland a month later. He fell two games short of qualifying for the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship, losing to American Steve Brown and also fell two rounds short of making the televised stages of the 2007 Winmau World Masters, losing to Paul Gibbs. Oskar Lukasiak (born 27 October 1991) is a Swedish darts player. Career Oskar is the youngest player (age 12) to make a nine-darter on an official tournament, Denmark Open 2004, 29 August 2004 in the Boys Single. He accomplished the feat against PDC player Ron Meulenkamp in the last and deciding leg in last 8. He then won the boys title. The same weekend he beat few of the top players of BDO including Jarkko Komula from Finland and Shaun Greatbatch from England. The same year he got an exemption to play Winmau World Youth Masters at the age of 12 (the minimum age was 13 before the rules changed). He beat Dutch darts player Jonny Nijs in the final 4-1 to become the first Swedish darts player ever to win Winmau World Masters. The Swedish Darts Organisation made Oskar an honorary member.
