2007 Citizens Bank 400
The 2007 Citizens Bank 400 was the 15th race of the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series season. It was held on June 17, 2007, at Michigan International Speedway, located in the town of Brooklyn, Michigan . After this race, 11 races remained to set the field for the Chase for the Nextel Cup. Qualifying J. J. Yeley won his first career pole with a fast lap of 187.505 miles per hour, or 38.399 seconds. 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series
The 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series was the 59th season of professional stock car racing in the United States and the 36th modern-era Cup series. Beginning on February 10 at Daytona International Speedway with the Budweiser Shootout, the season ended on November 18 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with the Ford 400. The Chase for the Nextel Cup started with the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway and was contested over the final ten races. The season was the final year that the NASCAR Cup Series was known as the ''Nextel Cup Series''. As a result of the 2005 merger of Nextel Communications with Sprint Corporation, and the subsequent decision by the newly named Sprint Corporation, the name of the series was changed to the ''Sprint Cup Series'' for 2008. Terrance Lee Labonte (born November 16, 1956), nicknamed Texas Terry or The Iceman, is an American former stock car driver who raced from 1978 to 2014 in the former NASCAR Winston Cup and Sprint Cup Series (now called the NASCAR Cup Series). Mark Anthony Martin (born January 9, 1959) is a retired American stock car racing driver. He has the second most wins all time in what is now the Xfinity Series with 49. He scored 40 Cup Series wins. Jeffrey Lynn Green (born September 6, 1962) is an American retired professional stock car racing driver and crew chief.
