2006 Sun Bowl
The 2006 Brut Sun Bowl featured the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-10 and the Missouri Tigers of the Big 12 Conference. Running back Tony Temple started the scoring for Missouri as he took a handoff and ran 7 yards for a touchdown, to give Missouri an early 7–0 lead. Quarterback Matt Moore threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Sammie Stroughter to tie the game at 7. Matt Moore later ran for a 1-yard touchdown to increase the lead to 14–7. Missouri placekicker Jeff Wolfert kicked a 30-yard field goal to cut the lead to 14–10. Two-point Conversion
In gridiron football, a two-point conversion or two-point convert is a play a team attempts instead of kicking a one-point conversion immediately after it scores a touchdown. In a two-point conversion attempt, the team that just scored must run a play from scrimmage close to the opponent's goal line (5-yard line in amateur Canadian, 3-yard line in professional Canadian, 3-yard line in amateur American, 2-yard line in professional American; in professional American football, there is a small dash to denote the line of scrimmage for a two-point conversion; it was also the previous line of scrimmage for a point-after kick until 2014) and advance the ball across the goal line in the same manner as if they were scoring a touchdown. Yvenson Bernard
Yvenson Bernard VAN-son(born October 25, 1984) is a former professional Canadian football running back formerly of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Oregon State. Bernard has also been a member of the Seattle Seahawks. Early years Bernard was a four-year starter and played running back, fullback and strong safety at Boca Raton High School in Boca Raton, Florida. He led Florida's 5A football league in scoring his senior season with 19 touchdowns, rushing for 1,156 yards on 159 carries (7.4 average). Alexis Serna
Alexis Serna (born February 8, 1985) is a former placekicker and punter who played in the Canadian Football League from 2008 to 2010 for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He graduated from A. B. Miller High School in Fontana, California. He was the starting placekicker and punter for the Oregon State University football team, the Oregon State Beavers, from 2004 to 2007. He won the 2005 Lou Groza Award which recognized him as the best placekicker in the United States. On June 3, 2008, Serna signed a contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League and was the team's starting kicker, replacing Troy Westwood. Chase Coffman
Chase Allen Coffman (born November 10, 1986) is a former American football tight end. He played college football for the University of Missouri, earned consensus All-American honors, and was recognized as the best college tight end in the country. He was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Early years Coffman was born in Lee's Summit, Missouri and played high school football at Raymore–Peculiar High School in nearby Peculiar. Coffman had a great high school career receiving passes from his younger brother Carson. Danario Alexander (born August 7, 1988) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Missouri. Jeff Wolfert (born October 22, 1985) is an American football kicker who is a free agent. He made his professional debut with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. In three years as the Missouri Tigers' place-kicker, Wolfert was a perfect 185-for-185 on extra point attempts and set the school's single-season and career scoring records.
