2006 Nordic Figure Skating Championships
The Nordic Championships () are an annual elite figure skating competition, originally open only to skaters from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. However, representatives of any ISU member nation may enter the senior-level events since 2011 and the junior-level events since 2020. The novice-level competitions remain restricted to Nordic countries. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance at the senior, junior, and novice levels. Three skaters are currently tied for winning the most Nordic Championships in men's singles (with six each): Kristoffer Berntsson of Sweden, Per Kjølberg of Norway, and Alexander Majorov of Sweden. Viktoria Helgesson of Sweden holds the record for winning the most Nordic Championships in women's singles (with five). List Of Figure Skating Competitions
Many international and national figure skating competitions are organized yearly. The three levels of ISU international competition are senior, junior, and advanced novice. Non-elite skaters may also compete in 'Adult' competitions. 'Professional' competitions were contested mainly by former elite skaters or sometimes a mix of eligible and ineligible skaters if sanctioned by the ISU. Alexander Majorov
Alexander Alexandrovich Majorov (, born 19 July 1991) is a Swedish retired figure skater. He is the 2017 Winter Universiade bronze medalist, the 2011 World Junior bronze medalist, a five-time Nordic champion (2011–14 and 2016), and a four-time Swedish national champion (2012–14, 2017). His best finish at the European Championships is 6th (2013). He was 14th at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Personal life Majorov was born on 19 July 1991 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. When he was an infant, his family began spending half a year in Sweden and half in Russia, settling in Luleå when he was six years old. His father, Alexander senior, is a figure skating coach, who was the first coach of Alexei Yagudin. His mother, Irina Majorova, runs a dance and ballet school in Luleå. Kalle Tuulos
Kalle Kustaa Tuulos (15 May 1930 — 4 March 2001) was a Finnish figure skater. Competing in single skating, he was an eight-time Finnish national champion (1949–56) representing Tampereen Luistelijat of Tampere. Sent to two Winter Olympics, Tuulos placed 13th in 1952 (Oslo) and 15th in 1956 (Cortina d'Ampezzo). Per Cock-Clausen
Per Cock-Clausen (23 September 1912 – 11 August 2002) was a Danish figure skater. He was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark. He was the 13-time Danish National Champion from 1940 to 1963 (held intermittently) and Nordic Champion from 1949 to 1951 and in 1953. Bo Mothander
Bo Mothander was a Swedish figure skater. Competing in single skating, he was a ten-time Swedish national champion, the 1946 Nordic champion, and placed 6th at the 1939 European Championships in Davos, Switzerland. Gillis Emanuel Grafström (7 June 1893 – 14 April 1938) was a Swedish Figure skating, figure skater. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He won three successive Olympic gold medals in Men's Figure Skating (1920, 1924, 1928) as well as an Olympic silver medal in the same event in 1932, and three World Figure Skating Championships, World Championships (1922, 1924, 1929).
