, full name and also known as , is a Japanese professional football club based in Chiba, capital of Chiba Prefecture. They currently play in the J2 League, Japanese second tier of professional football. History Furukawa Electric SC (1946–1991) The club began as the company team, in 1946. As the company team, it won the Japan Soccer League twice, the Emperor's Cup four times and the JSL League Cup three times. Furukawa also won the 1986–87 Asian Club Championship, the top club honour in Asia; they were the first Japanese club to do so. The club was a founding member (''"Original Eight"'') of the Japan Soccer League (JSL) in 1965. Seiichiro Maki
is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a forward. He played for the Japan national team. Club career Maki was a key player for Komazawa University in Tokyo along with Masaki Fukai. After graduating from Komazawa University in 2003, Maki joined JEF United Ichihara (later ''JEF United Chiba''). He made his first professional appearance on 22 March 2003 against Tokyo Verdy. He scored his first professional goal on 2 August 2003 against Urawa Reds. For his first year at JEF, he was often used as a second-half substitute. is a Japanese football player. He played for Japan national team. Club career Aoki was born in Takasaki on 28 September 1982. After graduating from high school, he joined J1 League club Kashima Antlers in 2001. Fábio Santos Romeu (born 16 September 1985 in São Paulo), known simply as Fábio Santos, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a left back. Daiki Iwamasa
is a Japanese professional football manager and former player, who is the manager of club, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. Toru Araiba
is a former Japanese football player. Club career Araiba was a product of the youth system of Gamba Osaka. He made two first team appearances for Gamba in 1997 while he still belonged to their youth team. He signed a professional contract in 1998 and started to play regularly for the club's first team. is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Kashima Antlers and the Japan national team. Club career Sogahata was born in Kashima on August 2, 1979.
