The 2006 Algerian Super Cup is the 5th edition of Algerian Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the Championnat National and 2005–06 Algerian Cup competitions. The match was scheduled to be played on 1 November 2006 at Stade 5 Juillet 1962 in Algiers between 2005-06 Championnat National winners JS Kabylie and 2005–06 Algerian Cup winners MC Alger. Algerian Super Cup
The Algerian Super Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر الممتازة), is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1973 and then again in 1981, 1992 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013. The current holders are CR Belouizdad, who beat USM Alger in the 2019 final, played in November 2020. MC Alger is the most successful club in the competition, having won the trophy three times. Mohamed Rabie Meftah
Mohamed Rabie Meftah (born 5 May 1985 in Tizi Ouzou) is an Algerian footballer. He currently plays for AS Aïn M'lila in the Algerian Ligue 2. Personal Meftah comes from a family of footballers. His cousin Mahieddine Meftah was a former Algerian international and played for JS Kabylie and USM Alger. Another cousin, Rahim Meftah, was also a former player who played for the two clubs, as well as MO Constantine. Two other cousins, Chaâbane Meftah and Jugurtha Meftah are also footballers and currently play for JS Kabylie. Merouane Abdouni
Merouane Abdouni (born March 27, 1981) is a retired Algerian goalkeeper who played for USM El Harrach, USM Alger, MC Alger and USM Blida. Biography Abdouni began his playing career at USM El Harrach and made his first team debut in the 1999/2000 in the Algerian second division. That same season, he helped the team gain promotion to the top flight, although they would get relegated just one year later. He stayed another season before signing with USM Alger in the summer of 2002. With USM Alger, he played a key role in the teams 2003 African Champions League run, where the team was eliminated in the semi-final's to eventual champions Enyimba FC of Nigeria.
