2005 Six Nations
The 2005 Six Nations Championship was the sixth Six Nations Championship played since the competition expanded in 2000 to include Italy. Including the Home Nations and Five Nations Championships, this was the 111th season of the tournament. Wales won the Grand Slam, their first since 1978, and in doing so became the first team to win a Grand Slam playing more games away than at home. Ronan O'Gara
Ronan John Ross O'Gara (born 7 March 1977) is an Irish former rugby union player and current coach. O'Gara played as a fly-half and is Ireland national rugby union team, Ireland's third most-capped player and second highest points scorer. He is currently head coach of Stade Rochelais, La Rochelle in the French Top 14. O'Gara won 128 caps for Ireland, winning three Triple Crown (rugby union), Triple Crowns and the Grand Slam (rugby union), Grand Slam in 2009. Gareth Thomas (rugby, Born 1974)
Gareth Thomas (born 25 July 1974) is a Welsh former professional rugby union and rugby league player, who represented Wales in both codes. Nicknamed "Alfie", he was the first Wales rugby union player to play in 100 test matches, and is currently the sixth-most capped Wales player. He is 15th among international try scorers, and is the third-highest Wales try scorer. He also won four rugby league caps for Wales, scoring three tries. He played rugby union as a fullback, wing or centre for Bridgend, Cardiff, the Celtic Warriors, Toulouse, Cardiff Blues, and Wales. In 2010 he changed codes to rugby league when he transferred from Cardiff Blues to the Crusaders in Super League, and later played for Wales. He retired from rugby in October 2011. Mike Ruddock
Mike Ruddock, OBE (born 5 September 1959) is a Welsh rugby union coach who was later an interim consultant for Ospreys, having previously coached Lansdowne FC. Ruddock was the Director of Rugby at the Worcester Warriors from 2007 to 2010. He was the coach of the Welsh national rugby union team from 2004 until February 2006 and Leinster Coach from 1997 to 2000. He is the father of 3 children. Gordon Bulloch (born 26 March 1975) is a former Scotland international rugby union player. Rugby Union career Amateur career He made his debut for West of Scotland in November 1995 against a touring side, South African provincial team Griqualand West. Matt Williams (born 1960) is an Australian former rugby union coach. Since 2015 he has worked as a pundit for Virgin Media Television and has written for The Irish Times since 2011. Playing career Williams played from 1978 to 1992 with both Eastwood and Western Suburbs Rugby Clubs in Sydney and with Swansea RFC in Wales. Coaching Williams started by coaching Western Suburbs U20s in Sydney, Australia in 1992. A year later he became head coach of his former club Eastwood in Sydney in 1993. Marco Bortolami
Marco Bortolami (; born 12 June 1980) is a rugby union coach and retired Italy, Italian international player, whose career includes experience playing in the national top-level Italian (Petrarca Padova), French (RC Narbonne), and English (Gloucester RFC, Gloucester Rugby) championships, before joining the then recently-born Pro14 (with Aironi, Aironi Rugby and then Zebre Rugby, Zebre). John Kirwan (rugby)
Sir John James Patrick Kirwan (born 16 December 1964) is a New Zealand mental health advocate, former rugby union and rugby league player, and former rugby union coach. A wing, he played for Auckland in the 1980s and 1990s, when they dominated New Zealand rugby. He played in 63 tests for New Zealand, and scored 35 tries, making him one of the highest try scorers in international rugby union history. He was part of the New Zealand team that won the first Rugby World Cup in 1987. He also played rugby league for the Auckland Warriors in their first two seasons in 1995 and 1996.
