2005 Nordic Figure Skating Championships
The 2005 Nordic Figure Skating Championships were held from February 11th through 13th, 2005 at the Askerhallen in Asker, Norway. The competition was open to elite figure skaters from Nordic countries. Skaters competed in four disciplines, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating a ..., and ice dancing, across two levels: senior (Olympic-level) and junior. Pairs and ice dancing competitions were held only at the junior level. The junior compulsory dance was the Argentine Tango. Asker
Asker ( no, Asker), properly called Askerbygda in Norwegian, is a district and former municipality in Akershus, Norway. From 2020 it is part of the larger administrative municipality Asker, Viken (also known as Greater Asker) in Viken county, together with the traditional Buskerud districts Røyken and Hurum; Asker proper constitutes the northern fourth and is part of the Greater Oslo Region. Justus Strid
Justus Strid (born 29 April 1987) is a retired Danish figure skater. He is the 2012 Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medalist, a three-time Nordic silver medalist, and a seven-time Danish national champion. Career Strid originally competed for Sweden. In 2004, he moved to Hørsholm, Denmark to be coached by Henrik Walentin and Julia Sandstrom. He himself began working as a coach at about the same time, teaching skating to children. He later changed coaches, deciding to work with his brother, Kalle Strid, and Martin Johansson. He lives in the center of Copenhagen and trains in Skatingclub Copenhagen (SKK). Strid began skating for Denmark in the 2007–08 season. This was after the Danish skating federation asked him to represent them. He won his first national title that season. He debuted at the European and World Championships in 2011. He did not qualify for the free skate at either event. Michael Chrolenko (born 19 July 1988) is a Norwegian figure skater Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport to be included in the Olympic Games, when contested at the 1908 Olympics in London. The Olympic disciplines are me .... He is the 2006-2007 Norwegian National Champion and the 2003-2005 Norwegian Junior National Champion. He has competed four times at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships and once at the European Figure Skating Championships. He is the 2005 Nordic Championships champion on the junior-level. Chrolenko is coached by his father, Marek Chrolenko, who is a former Polish national pairs champion who placed 7th at the European Championships in 1977. Elina Kettunen (born 10 April 1981) is a Finnish former competitive figure skater. She is the 1999 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist, the 2004 Finlandia Trophy bronze medalist, a three-time Nordic Figure Skating Championships, Nordic champion, and the 2001 Finnish Figure Skating Championships, Finnish national champion. She finished in the top fourteen at seven ISU Figure Skating Championships, ISU Championships.
