2005 LPGA Tour
The 2005 LPGA Tour was a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world which took place from February through December 2005. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Total prize money for all tournaments was $45,100,000. Annika Sörenstam dominated the Tour in 2005, winning ten tournaments, including two of the four major tournaments, winning more than $2 million in prize money for the fifth consecutive season. Five other players earned over $1 million. Annika Sörenstam
Annika Charlotta Sörenstam (; born 9 October 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer. She is regarded as one of the best female golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. She has won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 24 other tournaments internationally. After turning 50, she came back from her retirement and added a win in the 2021 U.S. Senior Women's Open. In 2003, she achieved a career grand slam, winning, at least once in her career, each of the four tournaments recognized as major championships during the main part of her career. Franklin American Mortgage Championship
The Franklin American Mortgage Championship was a golf tournament for professional female golfers that was part of the LPGA Tour. It was played annually between 2004 and 2006 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, Iron Horse Course in Franklin, Tennessee. The title sponsor was the Franklin American Mortgage Company, a residential mortgage company based in Franklin. Country music singers Vince Gill and Amy Grant served as hosts of the event. Proceeds from the event benefited the Monroe Carrel, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University. The 2007 tournament had been scheduled for April 19 through April 22. Carin Koch
Anna Carin Pernilla Hjalmarsson Koch (née Hjalmarsson; born 23 February 1971) is a Swedish professional golfer who previously played on the Ladies European Tour and on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She was captain of the 2015 European Solheim Cup team. Amateur career Carin Koch had a successful amateur career. Corona Morelia Championship
The Tres Marias Championship was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played from 2005 to 2010, at Tres Marias Residential Golf Club in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. From 2005 through 2009 the title sponsor of the tournament was Mexican beer Corona. Lorena Ochoa of Mexico won the event three times: 2006, 2008, and 2009. The 2011 tournament was originally scheduled for April 21–24. Wendy Ward
Wendy Ward (born May 6, 1973) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Early life, education and amateur career Ward was born in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Arizona State University where she had a successful National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) career. She was a two-time Honda Sports Award winner, a three-time first team All-American, the Pac-10 Champion in 1993 and 1995 and led ASU to team titles in 1993, 1994 and 1995. She graduated in 1995 with a degree in business Management. The LPGA Takefuji Classic was an annual golf tournament for professional female golfers on the LPGA Tour that took place every year from 2000 through 2006. 2005 Kraft Nabisco Championship
The 2005 Kraft Nabisco Championship was a women's professional golf tournament, held March 24–27 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. This was the 34th edition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, and the 23rd edition as a major championship. ESPN and ABC Sports televised the event.
