2004 League Of Ireland
The 2004 League of Ireland Premier Division was the 20th season of the League of Ireland Premier Division. The division was made up of 10 teams. Shelbourne were champions while Cork City finished as runners-up. Both clubs also enjoyed respectable runs in Europe. Overview The season began on 19 March and ended on 22 November. Each team played four rounds of games, totalling 36 games each. The 2005 season would see the League of Ireland Premier Division revert to 12 twelve teams. To facilitate this expansion there was no promotion/relegation play-off this season and only one team, Dublin City, were automatically relegated. At the end of October, Drogheda United and Bohemians were all but out of the title race. Drogheda United and Bohemians were twelve points and eight points behind leaders Shelbourne respectively. Declan O'Brien (footballer)
Declan O'Brien (born 16 June 1979) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is Drogheda United's top goalscorer of all time. Playing career Drogheda United O'Brien started his professional career with Drogheda United scoring on his League of Ireland debut at Cobh Ramblers on the opening day of the 2001–02 League of Ireland. Glen Crowe
Glen Crowe (born 25 December 1977) is an Irish former professional football forward. He was a prolific goalscorer in the League of Ireland Premier Division and has represented the Republic of Ireland national football team on two occasions. Crowe previously played for Wolves, Bohemians, Shelbourne and Sporting Fingal. Family Glen Crowe's grandad is Liam Crowe, who played football for the Irish Army, including a match against the Republic of Ireland national football team on 23 April 1944. Liam Crowe also played for Shamrock Rovers and won the FAI Cup in 1944. He also played for Shelbourne, St Patrick's Athletic, Dundalk and St James's Gate. Liechtenstein Football Association
The Liechtenstein Football Association (LFA; ) is the governing body of football in Liechtenstein. It was established on 28 April 1934, and became affiliated to UEFA on 22 May 1974. The association organizes the Liechtenstein national football team and the Liechtenstein Football Cup. Because Liechtenstein has fewer than 8 (only 7 not counting reserves) active teams, it is the only UEFA member without its own national league. The League of Ireland is a national association football league consisting of professional clubs in the Republic of Ireland and Derry City in Northern Ireland.
