Ehsan Haddadi or Ehsan Hadadi (, born January 20, 1985, in Tehran) is the President of Islamic Republic of Iran Athletics Federation since July 2024. He is a former Iranian discus thrower. His height is 193 cm and his weight is 127 kg. The 2004 Asian Junior Champion, he won a gold medal at the 2004 World Junior Championships In Grosseto, the inaugural Iranian to win a medal at any global athletics competition. In 2005 he won the Asian Championships in Incheon with a throw of 65.25 metres. In December 2006, he added another gold medal to his record, winning the title at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. In 2007, he won the Asian Championships in Amman and defended his title. His personal best throw is 69.32 m, achieved on June 3, 2008, in Tallinn, Estonia. This is the current Asian record. Nosratabad
Nosratabad () is a city in, and the capital of, Nosratabad District of Zahedan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. As a village, it was the capital of Nosratabad Rural District until its capital was transferred to the village of Shahrak-e Hesaruiyeh. Nosratabad lies on the road from Zahedan to Bam. History Nosratabad (The City of Nosrat) was named after Nusret el Mulk, a former deputy governor of Sistan; when built, c. 1870, it was first called Nasirabad in honor of Nasr-uddin Shah; other names, used locally, are Shahr-i-Seistan, Shahr-i-Nassiriyeh, or simply Shahr (the town). 2004 Nosratabad Fuel Tanker Explosion
The 2004 Nosratabad fuel tanker explosion was a catastrophic incident that took place on 24 June 2004, near Iran's Afghanistan–Iran border, border with Afghanistan, resulting in at least 90 fatalities and 114 injuries. The disaster occurred when a Tank truck, petrol truck lost control and collided with a bus at the Nosratabad police checkpoint, located about west of Zahedan. Background Iran has a high rate of road accidents, with an average of 22,000 annual fatalities at the time of the disaster. Police checkpoints, mostly present to check for drugs, are commonplace on roads in the vicinity of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
