2004 Hong Kong Sevens
The 2004 Hong Kong Sevens was an international rugby sevens tournament that took place at the Hong Kong Stadium between 26 and 28 March 2004. It was the 29th edition of the Hong Kong Sevens and was the fifth tournament of the 2003–04 World Sevens Series. Twenty-four teams competed in the tournament and were separated into six groups of four with the top eight teams qualifying through to the cup tournament. After winning all three of their group stage matches, England took out the Hong Kong title for the third year running, defeating Argentina in the cup final 22–12. 2003–04 World Sevens Series
The 2003–04 Sevens World Series was the fifth edition of the global circuit for men's national rugby sevens teams, organised by the International Rugby Board. The series was held over eight tournaments, an increase of one over the previous year. This was the first year that the USA Sevens was added to the series. New Zealand won its fifth consecutive series, narrowly defeating England. Scotland National Rugby Sevens Team
The Scotland national rugby sevens team competes in the Rugby World Cup Sevens and the Commonwealth Games. It also competed World Rugby Sevens Series although it has been replaced by a combined Great Britain team in this competition. The head coach is Ciaran Beattie, supported by manager Sean Lamont and skills coach Graham Shiel. During 2006, the side were in danger of no longer competing in the Sevens World Series due to the financial problems faced by the Scottish Rugby Union. However, they gained a reprieve when the International Rugby Board announced that a leg of the Sevens World Series would be held at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, starting in 2007. The SRU then announced that the Scotland sevens team would compete in all eight legs of the Sevens World Series, and draw players from the country's national academy. 2004 In Hong Kong Sport
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. 2004 USA Sevens
The 2004 USA Sevens was the first time that the USA Sevens rugby tournament was played. It was held at the Home Depot Center in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson. Argentina defeated New Zealand 21–12 in the cup final to win the tournament. It was Argentina's first victory in a World Series tournament since its inception five years before. The Japan national rugby sevens team participates in competitions such as the World Rugby Sevens Series and the Rugby World Cup Sevens. Argentina National Rugby Sevens Team
The Argentina national rugby sevens team competes in the World Rugby Sevens Series, in the Rugby World Cup Sevens, and, beginning in 2016, in the Summer Olympics. The Argentine rugby sevens team has had some success in the World Rugby Sevens Series, finishing third in 2003–04, and finishing among the top six teams in five out of six seasons from 2003–04 to 2008–09.
