2003–04 TFF First League
The 2003–04 Turkish Second League Category A was the second-level football league of Turkey and the 41st season since its establishment in 1963–64. At the end of the season in which 18 teams competed in a single group, Sakaryaspor, Erciyesspor and B.B. Ankaraspor, which finished the league in the first three places, were promoted to the upper league, while Adana Demirspor, Göztepe and İzmirspor, which were in the last three places, were relegated. Sakaryaspor
Sakaryaspor Kulübü Derneği is a Turkish professional football club, formed in 1965 after the merger of ''Adapazarı Gençlerbirliği'', ''Adapazarı İdman Yurdu'', ''Güneşspor'' and ''Ada Gençlik''. The club is better known as Sakaryaspor. The football club is nicknamed the "Football Factory" by Turkish football scene because of the many national footballers born and raised in the city. Sakarya Province has also five national top scorers ( Hakan Şükür, Aykut Kocaman, Bülent Uygun, Aykut Yiğit, Ogün Altıparmak) of all time and three of them did carry the Sakaryaspor shirt. Sakaryaspor became TFF First League champions in 1980–81 and 1986–87. They accomplished this feat again at the end of the 2005–06 season. Sakaryaspor subsequently won a place in the play–off matches. Kayseri Erciyesspor
Kayseri Erciyesspor was a Turkish sports club based in Kayseri. History In 1965, Orhan Şefik Apak, then president of the Turkish Football Federation, asked cities in Turkey to combine their amateur football clubs into one singular club that would represent their communities. These new clubs would compete in the newly created 2.Lig (Second Division). After several meetings, representatives of the city merged Erciyesspor, Sanayispor, and Ortaanadoluspor to form Kayserispor. The club submitted the required paperwork and were officially founded as Kayserispor on 1 July 1966. They began competing in the 1966–67 2.Lig. Erdoğan Gürhan was the first manager, signing a contract worth 1,500 TL. In their first season, the club competed in the Beyaz Grup (White Group). Yener scored the first goal in club history when he netted a shot in the 17th minute against Ankara Toprakspor. Birol Aksancak
Birol Aksancak (born April 8, 1979) is a retired Turkish footballer who played as a winger. Career Aksancak is a youth product of Ankaragücü, and had three separate stints in the club, and spent various seasons on loan with clubs in the TFF First League. He spent most of his career between the Süper Lig and the TFF First League. He was a part of Ankaragücü's greatest European success, scoring a goal for them in a 1–0 win against Atlético Madrid in the 1999–2000 UEFA Cup The 1999–2000 UEFA Cup season was the 29th edition of the UEFA Cup competition.
