2003–04 Dhaka Premier Division League
The 2003–04 Dhaka Premier Division League, also known as the Western Union Dhaka Premier Division League for sponsorship reasons, was the 51st season of the top-tier football league in Bangladesh and the 10th season of the Premier Division, following its succession from the Dhaka First Division Football League, First Division as the top-tier. A total of ten teams participated in the league which began on 17 December 2003 and ended on 12 March 2004. Dhaka Premier Division Football League
Dhaka Senior Division Football League (), or the First Division Football League, is the third tier association football, football league in Bangladesh. Until 2006, it was the top-tier league of the country. It was established in 1948 as part of the Dhaka League, while modern-day Bangladesh was still part of Pakistan. Until 1971, it was run in parallel with the National Football Championship (Pakistan), National Football Championship in West Pakistan. The top-tier football league in Dhaka has seen numerous changes in both format and name. Initially, it was referred to as the First Division or Senior Division Football League. Dhaka Wanderers Club
Dhaka Wanderers Club () is a Bangladeshi professional football club from Motijheel area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It currently competes in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi football, having gained promotion from the 2023–24 Bangladesh Championship League. The Wanderers are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the country. They won seven domestic First Division titles prior to the Independence of Bangladesh. NTV (), styled in lower case as ntv, an acronym of less commonly used National Television, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel based in the BSEC Building in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. Mohammed Jewel Rana (; born 2 May 1968) is a retired Bangladeshi professional footballer who played as a center-back. He served as captain of the Bangladesh national team from 1997 to 1999. Early career Jewel was born on 2 May 1968 in Dhanmondi area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His formed a passion for football while studying at West Dhanmondi Yousuf High School, and eventually began his football career playing for a team called East Bengal in the Pioneer League in 1984. Although he only made one appearance in his debut season due to sickness, he was a regular face in the team, which also included Saiful Bari Titu, from the following season. ATN Bangla (), 'ATN' being the acronym of the unused Asian Television Network, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Multimedia Production Company. It is based in the Kawran Bazar neighborhood of Dhaka. ATN Bangla is the first privately owned television channel and the first to broadcast on satellite in Bangladesh. The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS; ), also called Mirpur Stadium, is an International cricket ground at Mirpur, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Mohammad Monem Munna (; 9 June 1966 – 12 February 2005) was a Bangladeshi footballer who mainly played as a center back. He is often regarded as the best defender that ever played for Bangladesh. He was well known by his nickname "The King-Back". Early life Munna started playing football through his school team, Narayanganj Zilla School, which became the champions in the National School Championship, where he was adjudged the best player. Tayeb Shamsuzzaman
Hasan Tayeb Shamsuzzaman (born 9 January 1970) is a Bangladeshi football referee who has been a full international referee for FIFA. Shamsuzzaman became a FIFA referee in 1999. He served as a referee at the 2002, 2010, and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, in addition to the AFC Champions League and West Asian Football Federation Championship. He also works as a sports teacher at Satkhira Day-Night College. During his 18-year career, he conducted around 100 international matches. Alfaz Ahmed (; born: 6 June 1973) is a Bangladeshi football coach and former player who is currently the head coach of Mohammedan SC. He played for the Bangladesh national team from 1995 to 2008. Ariful Kabir Farhad (; born 12 March 1980) is a retired Bangladeshi professional footballer who played as a centre forward. He played for the Bangladesh national team from 1995 to 2006.
