2003 Masters Of Curling (January)
The 2003 M&M Meat Shops Masters of Curling was held from January 9 to 12, 2003 in Sudbury, Ontario. The event was one of the four men's Grand Slams of the 2002–03 curling season. The total purse for the event was $100,000, with $25,000 going to the winning team. The format was a triple knockout. Edmonton, Alberta's Kevin Martin rink defeated Vic Peters of Winnipeg, Manitoba in the final, 8–7. Peters played in the event with a broken foot. It was Martin's seventh straight event win on the World Curling Tour, and his second slam title of the season. The semifinals and finals were shown on Sportsnet. The event was held on the same weekend as the 2003 Canada Cup of Curling, another major Canadian curling tournament. Dale Duguid (curler)
Dale Duguid is an Australian visual effects supervisor and production designer who is credited on multiple films and TV series. After a career spanning production design, art direction, directing and screenwriting, Duguid established a viable visual effects industry for long form production within Australia through the creation of the Visual Effects design and production company Photon Stockman in 1991. Duguid was recognised with a medal from Queen Elizabeth II for having been a prime mover for the VFX industry in Australia. Strongfield, Saskatchewan
Strongfield ( 2016 population: ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Loreburn No. 254 and Census Division No. 11. It lies approximately 100 km south of the city of Saskatoon on Highway 19 between its sister communities of Hawarden and Loreburn. Strongfield was once a booming village with an elementary school, post office, car and farm equipment dealerships, two Saskatchewan Wheat Pool grain elevators, small restaurants and other shops. Today the school no longer exists and most of the businesses have long been closed down.
