The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television's 18th Gemini Awards were held on October 20, 2003, to honour achievements in Canadian television. The awards show, which was hosted by Seán Cullen, took place at the John Bassett Theatre and was broadcast on CBC Television. John Bassett Theatre
The John W. H. Bassett Theatre is a multi-purpose theatre located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Front Street, in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The theatre is regularly used by the CTV Television Network for television shows such as ''Canadian Idol'' and '' Canada's Got Talent.'' The 1,232 seat, multi-purpose theatre is a self-contained venue within the Metro Toronto Convention Centre's North Building. The adjacent rooms host pre-and post-performance receptions. The theatre also hosts corporate events, a number of nationally televised award shows, community events and national and international TV specials. The theatre was named for John W. H. Da Vinci’s Inquest
''Da Vinci's Inquest'' is a Canadian crime drama television series which originally aired on CBC Television from 1998 to 2005. While never a ratings blockbuster, the critically acclaimed show did attract a loyal following, and ultimately seven seasons of thirteen episodes each were filmed for a total of ninety-one episodes. Salter Street Films was a Canadian television and film production company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. History Salter Street Films was founded by brothers Paul and Michael Donovan in 1983.
