2003 Canada Masters
The 2003 Canada Masters and the Rogers AT&T Cup were tennis tournaments played on Hardcourt, outdoor hard courts. It was the 114th edition of the Canada Masters and was part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000, Tennis Masters Series of the 2003 ATP Tour and of WTA Tier I tournaments, Tier I of the 2003 WTA Tour. The men's tournament took place at the Stade Uniprix, du Maurier Stadium in Montreal in Canada from August 4 through August 10, 2003 while the women's event took place at the National Tennis Centre (Canada), National Tennis Centre in Toronto in Canada from August 11 through August 17, 2003. Andy Roddick
Andrew Stephen Roddick (born August 30, 1982) is an American former professional tennis player. He was ranked as the world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for 13 weeks, including as the year-end No. 1 in 2003. Roddick won 32 ATP Tour-level singles titles, including a major at the 2003 US Open and five Masters events, and led the United States to the 2007 Davis Cup title. He was the runner-up at four other majors (Wimbledon in 2004, 2005, and 2009, and the US Open in 2006), losing to rival Roger Federer each time. Roddick was ranked in the year-end top 10 for nine consecutive years (2002–2010), first reaching the No. 1 spot in 2003. Roddick retired from the sport following the 2012 US Open to focus on his work at the Andy Roddick Foundation. In retirement, Roddick played for the Austin Aces in World Team Tennis in 2015.
