2002–03 Glasgow Warriors Season
The 2002–03 season is the seventh in the history of the Glasgow Warriors as a professional side. During this season the young professional side competed as Glasgow Rugby. The 2002–03 season saw Glasgow Rugby compete in the competitions: the Celtic League and the European Champions Cup, the Heineken Cup and a reformed Scottish Inter-District Championship, for sponsorship reasons known as the Bank of Scotland Pro Cup. Hughenden, Glasgow
Hughenden is a multi-sports venue in the Hyndland area of Glasgow, Scotland. It has been the home since 1924 of Hillhead Sports Club, a private members' club catering for cricket, rugby union and tennis. Hughenden is best known as a rugby venue and is the home ground of Hillhead Jordanhill RFC. It was also used as the home ground of the professional Glasgow Warriors, Glasgow Rugby team from 1996 to 2005 and again from 2006 to 2007. The main rugby ground has a capacity of 6,000. History Hillhead Sports Club was formed in 1902 as a private club for former pupils of Hillhead High School, catering for various sports including football, cricket, hockey and athletics. Scott Lawson
Scott Lawson (born 28 September 1981) is a Scottish rugby union coach and former international player. He played as a hooker and earned 47 caps for the Scotland national team during a 13-year international career, including appearances at the 2007 and 2011 Rugby World Cups. Following his professional playing career, Lawson now coaches within Scottish Rugby’s high-performance pathway, including appointments across the male and female national teams. Donald John Hunter Macfadyen (born 11 October 1979) is a former Scotland international rugby union player. He played as a Flanker. He made over 100 appearances for Glasgow Warriors from 1999 to 2008. Jason Phillip Randall White (born 17 April 1978) is a Scottish former rugby union footballer. He was a utility forward who played in the second or back row of the scrum – lock, flanker, or number eight. White played at club level for Glasgow Caledonians (now known as Glasgow Warriors); the French Top 14 side ASM Clermont Auvergne; and English Premiership side Sale Sharks. He won 77 caps playing for Scotland, captaining the side on 19 occasions. Alan Brown (rugby Union)
Alan Brown (born 10 September 1980 in Dundee, Scotland) is a former Scotland Club XV international rugby union player for Glasgow Warriors, who played at the Tighthead Prop position, although he could also be used in the Back Row if necessitated. Alan also went on to be a very successful coach after his player and assistant coach days. In 2018 he moved to Strathmore RFC, and in his first season they won the league and gained promotion as well as the quarter-finals of the Scottish cup. David Ivor Walter Hilton (born 3 April 1970) is a former professional rugby union player who played as a prop. Although he was born in England, he qualified to play for the Scotland national team by virtue of a grandfather who he believed was born in Scotland; however, it later emerged that his grandfather's birth was registered in England.
