The Football South Australia (FSA), formerly known as Football Federation South Australia (FFSA), is the governing body of football (also known as soccer) in South Australia, established in 2006. Description Football South Australia are affiliated with Football Australia, the sport's national governing body. The FSA run the highest level of football in the state of South Australia, the semi-professional National Premier Leagues South Australia, below this they run State League 1 and State League 2 which are level 2 and 3 on the state's football league pyramid, and levels 3 and 4 on the national pyramid. The FSA run the South Australian Professional Men's Leagues, the Women's and Juniors Leagues, and the South Australian Junior Premier League (JPL), where teams from under 8s to under 17s play Sundays. Playford City Patriots
Playford City Soccer Club is a soccer club from Elizabeth, South Australia. Playford play in the FFSA State League. Their home ground is at Ramsay Park in Elizabeth, north of Adelaide. History The inaugural meeting of the club was on 16 May 1956 in a garage at the rear of a green-grocery store owned by Mr. Britain on Goodman Road, Elizabeth South. From the 20 people who attended the meeting a committee was elected consisting of President J. Downing, Secretary M. Dootson, Treasurer T. Withinham and committee members Heath, Taylor, Sanderson, Wildash and B and F Varley. The name of the club was established as Elizabeth United Soccer Club and the first official game was a friendly against an RAF Edinburgh Select team. Seaford Rangers (formerly the Seaford Surfers) are a soccer club from Seaford, South Australia. Seaford play in the South Australian State League. Their home ground is at Karingal Reserve. They have a strong support group, known as The Norseman St Elite (NSE). Noarlunga United
Noarlunga United is a soccer club from Adelaide, South Australia. In 2019, Noarlunga play in the FFSA South Australian State League. They play at Wilfred Taylor Reserve in Adelaide's southern suburbs. History The club was founded under the name of Wakefield Wanderers in 1963 by John Jones and Norm Hughes. The club changed its name in 1974 to Noarlunga United. The nickname the bulldogs is in honour of the club's British heritage. The club originally played at Wakefield Reserve, Acre Avenue, Pimpala. The pitch was virtually on the top of a cliff. It had a very big slope down hill from south to north and the winds which used to rip down and across the pitch were horrific. The NPL State League 1 South Australia is the second tier state-level football (soccer) competition in South Australia, ranked third tier in the national pyramid. The league are part of the National Premier Leagues (NPL) structure implemented by Football Federation Australia in 2012. It is conducted by the Football Federation South Australia (FFSA), the state's governing body. After the reforming of the South Australian football league structure in 2012, the league increased its participants from 10 clubs to 16. North Eastern MetroStars Soccer Club, commonly known as MetroStars, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1994, the club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues South Australia, with matches played at the T.K. Shutter Reserve in the north-eastern suburb of Klemzig. Adelaide City Football Club is a soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia. The club was known historically as Juventus — the original name given to the club by its founders in Adelaide's Italian community.
