Sporting Kansas City is an American professional soccer club based in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. The administrative offices are located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and the team clubhouse and practice facilities are located in Kansas City, Kansas. The team has played its home matches at Children's Mercy Park since 2011. Sporting Kansas City began play in 1996 as a charter team in the league, then named Kansas City Wiz. The team was founded by Lamar Hunt in 1995. Starting in 1997, the franchise was named Kansas City Wizards. The team rebranded in November 2010, coinciding with its move to its new home stadium, Children's Mercy Park. Darío Raúl Fabbro (born 11 March 1976) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a striker. He played in the MLS for Kansas City Wizards and New England Revolution, in Honduras for Platense, in Chile for Deportes Concepción, among other clubs. Career Fabbro started his career with Club Atlético Huracán in Argentina before playing for C.S. Emelec of Ecuadorian Serie A, where he appeared in the 2000 Merconorte Cup. He also played for Deportes Concepción of the Chilean Primera División. Adegboyega "Bo" Oshoniyi (born November 3, 1971) is an American former soccer player who played as a goalkeeper and spent eight seasons in Major League Soccer. He is now the head men's soccer coach at Dartmouth College. Career Oshoniyi's Nigerian father drowned when Bo was four years old. He played college soccer at Southern Connecticut State University, where he helped lead the team to Division II championships in 1990 and 1992. Davy Arnaud (; born June 22, 1980) is an American soccer coach and former player. During his professional career, he played for Sporting Kansas City, Montreal Impact, and D.C. United, and served on the coaching staff of D.C. United and Houston Dynamo. Arnaud also made seven appearances for the United States national team, scoring one goal. Igor Vitalyevich Simutenkov (; born 3 April 1973 in Moscow) is a Russian football coach and a former player. Currently, he works as assistant manager at Zenit Saint Petersburg. Club career Simutenkov started his pro career in the old Soviet league with Dynamo Moscow in 1990. He spent the next five years with Dynamo, the last three in the Russian league, which he led in scoring with 21 goals in 1994. Eric Quill (born February 28, 1978, in Missouri City, Texas) is an American soccer coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Major League Soccer side FC Dallas. Career College An outstanding youth soccer player, Quill was offered a contract by Ajax Amsterdam as a teenager, but declined the opportunity to go to Europe.
