2002 Buffalo Bills Season
The 2002 season was the Buffalo Bills' 43rd as a franchise and 33rd in the National Football League. The Bills acquired veteran quarterback Drew Bledsoe from the New England Patriots on draft weekend in exchange for Buffalo's first-round pick in the 2003 draft, (the Bills later gained a first-round pick via a sign-and-trade of receiver Peerless Price, coming off a breakout season, to the Atlanta Falcons for their first-round pick in the 2003 draft). Bledsoe brought instant credibility to Buffalo's inept passing game; the Bills' offense scored the sixth most points in the AFC in 2002, after having scored the fifth fewest in the entire league the previous season. The American Football Conference – Eastern Division or AFC East is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). There are currently four teams that reside in the division: the Buffalo Bills (based in Orchard Park, New York); the Miami Dolphins (based in Miami Gardens, Florida); the New England Patriots (based in Foxborough, Massachusetts); and the New York Jets (based in East Rutherford, New Jersey). 2003 Atlanta Falcons Season
The Atlanta Falcons season was the franchise's 38th season in the National Football League (NFL). It is best remembered for the third preseason game, in which quarterback Michael Vick broke his leg and was done for most of the season. Atlanta had two other quarterbacks take over for a combined 2–10 record ( Doug Johnson and Kurt Kittner). Vick returned in week 14 and ended the season with a 3–1 record. After losing seven straight games, Dan Reeves was let go by Falcons management, and Wade Phillps took over for the rest of the season. For the season, the Falcons sported a new logo and uniforms. Marcus Raymond Price (born March 3, 1972) is a former American football offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Louisiana State University. Early years Price attended Lincoln High School, where he began to play football as a junior. Eddie Robinson (linebacker)
Eddie Robinson (born April 13, 1970) is an American football coach and former player. College career A native of Louisiana, Robinson was born and raised in New Orleans. He attended Brother Martin High School, graduating in 1988. Robinson furthered his education, attending Alabama State University on an academic scholarship and joining the football team as a walk on. He played as an offensive guard during his first season, but eventually switched to linebacker. He earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1994. Chidi Obioma Ahanotu (born October 11, 1970) is a former American football defensive end in the NFL. He was originally selected with the fifth pick of the sixth round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of California; he spent the first 8 years of his career with the Buccaneers. John Fina
John Joseph Fina (born March 11, 1969) is a former American football offensive lineman, who spent eleven years in the National Football League, ten of those with the Buffalo Bills, and a one-year stint with the Arizona Cardinals. Fina attended Salpointe Catholic High School where he was first-team All-State his senior year, and is one of the several players in school history to have their jersey retired. Fina attended the University of Arizona where he was a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round, 27th overall, in the 1992 NFL Draft. He played in two Super Bowls, XXVII and XXVIII, however the Bills lost both of them to the Dallas Cowboys. He now resides in Tucson, Arizona. David Edward Moore (born November 11, 1969) is a retired American football player who over the span of his 15-year career (1992–2006) with the National Football League played for the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Moore played as a tight end and fullback. His last official game was the Pro Bowl in 2007 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Moore didn't miss more than two games in any season for his entire Buccaneers career since first joining the team in 1993.
