VfB Stuttgart had an average season in its first season under Felix Magath. It finished 8th in Bundesliga, qualifying for the Intertoto Cup. The season also saw Stuttgart breaking its transfer record, when the club signed Fernando Meira for € 7.5 million. Jens Todt
Jens Todt (born 5 January 1970) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Club career Todt began playing professionally with TSV Havelse. In 1991, he followed manager Volker Finke to SC Freiburg, in the 2. Bundesliga, and the two would eventually gain legendary status at the Black Forest outfit. In his second season, he scored a career-best 11 goals in 42 games, being instrumental as the club promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time ever. Freiburg managed to maintain its top flight status in the following three seasons - finishing third in 1995 - with Todt scoring 14 league goals combined. Zvonimir Soldo (born 2 November 1967) is a Croatian football manager and former player. During his playing career, he mostly played as defensive midfielder. Club career Early career After studying law for six semesters at the University of Zagreb, Soldo's parents convinced him to pursue a career as professional football player. Adhemar Ferreira de Camargo Neto (born 27 April 1972), or simply Adhemar, is a former Brazilian football forward. Nicknamed ''O Canhão do ABC'' (Cannon of the ABC), his shot power and free kick ability drew him a cult following. Jochen Seitz (born 11 October 1976) is a German professional football manager and former player. Seitz played professionally in his country for Hamburger SV, SpVgg Unterhaching, VfB Stuttgart, FC Schalke 04, Kaiserslautern, TSG Hoffenheim and Alemannia Aachen. Aliaksandr Paulavich Hleb (, ; ; born 1 May 1981), commonly referred to in English as Alexander Hleb, is a Belarusian former professional footballer. Thomas Schneider (born 24 November 1972) is a German professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. He was the assistant manager to Joachim Löw for the Germany national team. Schneider had previously been manager of Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart.
