2001–02 Ukrainian Second League
The 2001–02 Ukrainian Second League was the 11th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competitions were divided into three groups according to geographical location in the country – A is western Ukraine, B is southern Ukraine and Crimea, and C is eastern Ukraine. The groups were won respectively by FC Krasyliv, FC Systema-Boreks Borodianka and FC Sumy. Ukrainian Second League
The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. Since 1996 the league, after being merged with its lower tier (in 1992–1995 there was the Third League), consists of two main regions roughly north-west and south-east. The league's relegated teams lose their professional status and return to their regional associations. FC Nafkom Brovary
FC Nafkom Brovary was a Ukrainian professional team from Brovary in Kyiv Oblast. Nafkom stands for the name of the firm owned by the club's investors. History The professional club was formed in 2001 in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast in the name of ''Nafkom-Akademia'' under the auspices of the Financial and Commercial Educational Institution (UFEI) that is in Irpin. FC Adoms Kremenchuk
FC ADOMS Kremenchuk was a Ukrainian football club formed in Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast in 1999 and based at Polytechnic Stadium from 1998 to 2001. Team competed in two seasons of Ukrainian Second League before dissolving in 2001. History The club was formed in early part of 1999 by owner a local company "Adoms" Kostiantyn Turkin and Dmytro Oleksiinko. Turkin became the club's first President. Hryhoriy Chychykov was appointed as first coach. Club colors were blue and white. For its first season the team participated in second round of Poltava Oblast Championship replacing Budivelnyk Shyshaky. They finished 11th out of 13 teams. Matchday programme by Avanhard Rovenky stated that Adoms only drew with Psel Hadiach and won all their matches, while not conceding any goals. FC Cherkasy
City Sports Club Dnipro Cherkasy () was a Ukrainian football team based in Cherkasy. Over its history the club has been dissolved and revived several times. The original club that existed 1955-1974 was dissolved following a financial scandal. After that the club again was dissolved and revived couple of more times. In the fall of 2018 the administration of Cherkasy Tsentralny Stadion revived the club as MSC Dnipro Cherkasy. On 21 June 2023 the 31st PFL Conference excluded several clubs that did not compete in the 2022–23 season and did not renew their membership. FC Bukovyna Chernivtsi
Football Sports Club Bukovyna Chernivtsi is a Ukraine, Ukrainian professional association football, football club based in Chernivtsi. History The club was established in 1958 as Avanhard Chernivtsi (Avangard Chernovtsy) for republican competitions and became the first club from Chernivtsi Oblast to be added to the Soviet Class B competition in 1960. Before 1958 Chernivtsi were presented several times by various teams in republican competitions like Burevisnyk (1956), Dynamo (1948, 1950–1955), Spartak (1946, 1947, 1949), Lokomotyv (1949). FC Dynamo Simferopol
FC Ihroservice Simferopol (, ) was a Ukrainian football team based in Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine. Uniform colours were white shirts and blue shorts. History FC Ihroservis traces its heritage to FC Dynamo Simferopol (''Динамо'', part of the Dynamo sports society) that was created in 1936 and participated in the Soviet football competitions until the late 1950s when it was dissolved. In 2000 the football expert Mikhail Sachko and the businessman Nikolai Pashkulsk decided to recreate Dynamo club in place of the already existing FC Pishchevyk (Kharchovyk) Simferopol. In July 2001 the new Dynamo Simferopol joined the professional ranks of the Ukrainian competitions in the Ukrainian Second League. Ihroservis played in Fiolent Stadium that seats 5000. The club was recently renamed in 2007 from FC Dynamo-Ihroservice to FC Ihroservice. 1991 Soviet Second League, Zone West
1991 Soviet Second League, Zone West was the last season of association football competition of the Soviet Second League in the Zone West. The competition was won by FC Karpaty Lviv. The group (zone) consisted predominantly out of Ukrainian clubs. With fall of the Soviet Union and discontinuation of Soviet competition, most clubs of the group joined their top national leagues. Because of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War (Operation Ring), many clubs refused to travel to Azerbaijan and were awarded technical losses. FC Torpedo Zaporizhzhia is a former professional football team based in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. History Founded in 1982, the club played in the Ukrainian Premier League from 1992 through 1998, after being initially chosen to participate for being one of the top 9 (of 11) Ukrainian teams from the West Division of the Soviet Second League in 1991. Prior to 1982 there were number of the Torpedo predecessors among which "Komunarivets", "Traktor", "Mashynobudivnyk", and others. FC Chayka-VMS Sevastopol was a Ukrainian football club based in Sevastopol. In 2001–02, the club took part in the Ukrainian Second League for the last time. FC Obolon-2 Bucha is the second team of Ukrainian professional football club FC Obolon Kyiv based in Bucha. It started in 2001 and played until February 2013, when it was discontinued for financial reasons.
