Amy Baserga (born 29 September 2000) is a Swiss biathlete. She competed in the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career Baserga was a successful junior competitor in biathlon, winning six medals at the Biathlon Junior World Championships. She competed in four biathlon events at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She was part of the Swiss team in the mixed relay, placing 8th out of 20 teams. She placed 69th out of 89 competitors in the individual event, 54th out of 89 competitors in the sprint, and 39th out of 60 competitors in the pursuit. Seraina Piubel (; born 2 June 2000) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Super League club West Ham United and the Switzerland national team. Club career Zürich Piubel played for FC Fislisbach in her youth. At the age of 13, she was accepted into the Footeco support program and switched to FC Zürich. From 2015 to 2016, she played for a year in the FC Red Star Zürich U-15 boys' team before moving back to FC Zürich. On 6 August 2016 she made her debut in the Super League, coming on as a 75th-minute substitute in the game against the BSC YB. Nadine Andrina Riesen (born 11 April 2000) is a Swiss footballer who plays as a defender for Eintracht Frankfurt and for the Switzerland national team. Club career Nadine Riesen grew up in Niederteufen. She started playing football at FC Bühler at the age of 9 and won two junior cups (2014 and 2015). In 2015 she moved to FC St. Gallen and made it straight into the first team. She made her debut in the top Swiss league on 15 August 2015, in a game against Yverdon-Sport. On February 28, 2023, she became the first freestyle skier to hold both slopestyle World and Olympic Champion titles after winning gold in both events. Samuel Schmid (born 8 January 1947) is a Swiss politician who served as a Member of the Swiss Federal Council from 2000 to 2008. He was the head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports (notably acting as a defense minister for Switzerland). Schmid was born in Rüti bei Büren, Canton of Bern. The Federal Council is the federal cabinet of the Swiss Confederation. Its seven members also serve as the collective head of state and government of Switzerland. Since World War II, the Federal Council is by convention a permanent grand coalition government composed of representatives of the country's major parties and language regions.
