Television in Croatia was first introduced in 1956. As of 2012, there are 10 nationwide and 21 regional DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial) television channels, and there are more than 30 other channels either produced in the Republic of Croatia or produced for the Croatian market and broadcast via IPTV (Internet Protocol television), cable, or satellite television. The electronic communications market in Croatia is regulated by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), which issues broadcast licenses and monitors the market. The DVB-T and satellite transmission infrastructure is developed and maintained by the state-owned company Odašiljači i veze (OiV). Adnan Babajić (born 28 May 1988) is a Bosnian singer and television personality, who came to media attention as the winner of talents show ''Operacija trijumf'', and thus signed a recording contract for an album for foreign market with Universal Music Group. Life and career Early life and career (1988–2008) Babajić was born and raised in Živinice into a Bosniak family. Before taking part in ''Operacija trijumf'', he appeared in many musical show on television. Babajić plays piano, drums and accordion, and cites Bryan Adams and Željko Joksimović as his idols. RTL Televizija
RTL (previously known as RTL Televizija) is a Croatian free-to-air television network founded on 30 April 2004. It was owned by the RTL Group from 2004 to 2022. Since 1 June 2022, it is owned by the CME Group. It is the second commercial television network in Croatia that has a national concession, following Nova TV. History In 2003, the Croatian government opted to privatize the HRT 3 frequency. In June 2003, five companies were interested: RTL Group, News Corporation, SBS Broadcasting, HMTM and CME. Bojan Jambrošić
Bojan Jambrošić (born 28 September 1985, in Čakovec, SFR Yugoslavia), is a Croatian pop singer who in 2009 won the first season of talent show ''Hrvatska traži zvijezdu'', the Croatian version of ''Idol series''. After his win, he was signed to Dallas Records. The same year, he released his debut album ''Bolji od ljubavi''. He also took part in season 5 of '' Ples sa zvijezdama'', the Croatian version of ''Dancing with the Stars'' aired on HRT1. His partner was Martina Bastić. They finished third overall out of eight dancing couples. He sang the theme song for TV series ''Ruža vjetrova'', until the show stopped using it in the 160th episode of season 1. ''Star Search Croatia'' () Season 1 was the first season of the second Croatian version of ''Pop Idol''. It was aired in 2009. ''Showtime'' is a Croatian show similar to ''Pop Idol''. The show started in the fall of summer 2007 when auditions were held in Osijek, Rijeka, Split and Zagreb. Out of more than 1,000 auditioners, 200 made it through to the next round, in which the judges picked the Top 22. All of the semi-finalists were called to Zagreb for the Piano Round, in which the judges decided on the Top 16 - 8 male and 8 female contestants. The format in the finals was as following: All of the contestants would perform, the judges would give their marks (1-5, 5 being the best) to each contestant and then the judges' marks would combine with public vote giving two contestants (always 1 male and 1 female) who pulled in the lowest overall score and who had to leave the competition. This format was used all the way to Top 6, when only contestant left the show.
