The 2000 Albanian Supercup is the seventh edition of the Albanian Supercup since its establishment in 1989. Albanian Supercup
The Albanian Supercup is a single match usually at the beginning of the season between the winners of the Kategoria Superiore and Albanian Cup. Prior to 2000, Supercup final was not played when the champion team won the Double. However, after the year 2000 Albanian Football Association rules changed and the final would still be played against the Cup runner-ups. There have been 30 finals played in total. Tirana are the most successful team, having won the trophy 12 times. Qemal Stafa Stadium
The Qemal Stafa Stadium (), named after Qemal Stafa (1920–1942), a World War II hero, was a national stadium and the largest football stadium in Tirana, Albania. Construction started in 1939 and the stadium was inaugurated in 1946 for the Balkan Cup, which was won by the Albania national football team. The stadium has been used for football matches of the Albanian Superliga and the national team, athletic events, and the six Albanian Spartakiads. Although it was enlarged in 1974 to accommodate up to 30,549 spectators, in the 1990s it became an all-seater stadium, and its capacity was reduced to 19,700. The stadium was demolished in June 2016 to make way for the new national stadium called the Arena Kombëtare, was constructed on the same site and opened in November 2019. Indrit Shaban Fortuzi (born 23 November 1973) is an Albanian retired national football forward who has played almost all his career for Tirana. Club career Nicknamed ''Zogu'' (bird), he has also played for Dinamo Tirana and in Greece for Iraklis and Apollon Athens. He is the best scorer of all time for Tirana and the third scorer of all time for Albanian Superliga with 167 goals.
