1Sports was an Indian sports television channel owned by Lex Sportel Vision Pvt. Ltd., launched after Discovery India took control of their DSport channel. 1Sports broadcast live sporting action from around the world, including high-profile content such as I-League. The channel ceased broadcasting on 21 November 2023. History On 6 February 2017 Discovery Communications (DC) launched the DSport channel to broadcast different kinds of sports in the Indian subcontinent. Since then Venkateish (owner of Lex Sportel) acquired broadcast rights of multiple events which were broadcast on DSport, until November 2019. In January 2020 Discovery applied a name change of their sports channel to Eurosport, which was challenged by Lex Sportel as the one who made the uplinking license deal of the channel. The Dakar Rally () or simply "The Dakar" (), formerly known as the Paris–Dakar Rally (), is an annual rally raid organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). It is an off-road endurance event traversing terrain much tougher than conventional rallying, and the vehicles used are typically true off-road vehicles and motorcycles, rather than modified on-road vehicles. Most of the competitive special sections are off-road, crossing dunes, mud, camel grass, rocks, and erg. Stages vary from short distances up to per day. Everest Premier League (EPL) () was a franchise Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by EPL Pvt. Ltd., a private group in Nepal. It was the biggest cricket tournament in the country, played during the northern winter calendar, mostly in the month of December. The I-League is the men's second professional football division of the Indian football league system behind the Indian Super League. Administered by the All India Football Federation, it is currently contested by 13 clubs. It operates as a system of promotion and relegation with the Indian Super League (ISL) and the I-League 2. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply the Masters, or as the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week in April, the Masters is the first major golf tournament of the year.
