Inn On The Park
Inn on the Park was a luxury hotel which was formerly located on a hill overlooking Leslie Street and Eglinton Avenue in North York, Ontario (now Toronto). It was one of the early Toronto hotels operated by the Four Seasons Hotel chain. ''Helicopter Canada'' (aka ''Hélicoptère Canada'') is a 1966 Canadian documentary film produced by the National Film Board of Canada and directed by Eugene Boyko. The film features aerial photography of all ten of Canada's provinces. ''Helicopter Canada'', sponsored by the Canada's Centennial Commission, was produced for international distribution in both French and English language versions for Canada's 100th anniversary. Synopsis The short documentary offers a narrated tour from a helicopter of the Canadian provinces in 1966. The bird's-eye view showed both familiar and little-known aspects of the Canadian landscape. Ron Kelly (filmmaker)
Ron Kelly (born June 11, 1929 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. He began his career with the CBC film unit, directing many short and documentary films between 1952 and 1964. He traveled to France, Spain and Mexico producing and directing documentaries independently from 1956 to 1958. From 1959 to 1962 he studied at Pinewood Studios, England, on a Canadian Arts Council fellowship and while there produced and directed documentaries for the BBC, CBC and National Office of Film, UK. In 1967 he co-wrote and directed the feature film Waiting for Caroline, as a commemoration of Canada's centennial year. ''Waiting for Caroline'' was distributed internationally by United Artists, Hollywood. In Hollywood in 1968, Kelly directed for Twentieth Century Fox Studios and Disney Studio. Lithium (from el, λίθος, lithos, lit=stone) is a chemical element with the symbol Li and atomic number 3. It is a soft, silvery-white alkali metal. Under standard conditions, it is the least dense metal and the least dense solid element. Don Owen (filmmaker)
Don Owen (September 19, 1931 – February 21, 2016) was a Canadian film director, writer and producer. Owen worked for Canada's National Film Board, producing short documentaries in the 1960s, and the dramatic film ''Nobody Waved Goodbye'' (1964), which was the NFB's first full-length feature. A sequel, '' Unfinished Business'' followed in 1984. He and fellow NFB director Donald Brittain co-directed the 1965 documentary portrait of Leonard Cohen, '' Ladies and Gentlemen... Mr. Leonard Cohen''. The same year, he also completed '' High Steel'', a fifteen-minute colour documentary about the Canadian Caughnawaga First Nations peoples who worked on Manhattan skyscraper projects.
