1999 Supercupa României
The 1999 Supercupa României was the 4th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The match was played in Bucharest at Stadionul Naţional on 7 October 1999, and was contested between Divizia A title holders, Rapid and Cupa României champions, Steaua. Rapid won the trophy. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României () is a Romanian football (soccer), football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994 Supercupa României, 1994, with the first edition being won by FCSB, Steaua București. In 2010 Supercupa României, 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced FC Unirea Urziceni, Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far is FC FCSB, FCSB winning the competition 7 times. Sponsorship On 22 July 2005, FRF and Samsung Electronics signed a one-year sponsorship deal. The name of the competition was changed to ''Supercupa României Samsung'' for the 2005 and 2006 editions. George Ogăraru
George Cristian Ogăraru (born 3 February 1980) is a former Romanian professional footballer who played as a right back, currently technical youth center director at Liga II club CSA Steaua București. Club career Ogăraru is one of the players that were promoted by Steaua București's youth club. He started his professional football career playing for Steaua at 18 years old. He debuted in Divizia A on 28 November 1998 in a victory against Olimpia Satu Mare with 3–0. In his first and second seasons at Steaua he was a substitute player and played only 7 games but did not score any goals. In the 2000–01 season he was loaned at CSM Reșița in Divizia B, where he played in 25 games and scored once. He was loaned again in 2001–02 season, this time at Oțelul Galați. Constantin Schumacher (born 8 May 1976) is a Romanian football manager and former midfielder, currently in charge of Liga III club Minaur Baia Mare. Club career Constantin Schumacher started his football career at CSȘ Fălticeni, a youth club in his neighbourhood. He signed in 1992 with Foresta Fălticeni but moved, after only a season, to another Divizia B team, more specifically FC Argeş Piteşti. At the end of the season, his team promoted and he played 5 seasons for Argeș in Liga 1. In 2000, he joined Rapid București where he played four seasons, making 77 appearances for his team and scoring 12 goals.
