Elections to Rossendale Borough Council were held on 7 May 1998. One third of the council was up for election and the Labour Party stayed in overall control of the council. Overall turnout was 30%. Rossendale Borough Council elections are generally held three years out of every four, with a third of the council elected each time. Rossendale Borough Council is the local authority for the non-metropolitan district of Rossendale in Lancashire, England.
