1998 NHK Trophy
The 1998 NHK Trophy was the final event of six in the 1998–99 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. It was held at the Makomanai Ice Arena in Sapporo on December 2–6. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Li Chengjiang
Li Chengjiang (; born April 28, 1979) is a Chinese former competitive figure skater. He is the 2001 Four Continents champion, the 2004 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, and a six-time Chinese national champion. Li placed as high as fourth at the World Championships (2003) and competed twice at the Winter Olympics. He retired from competition in 2009 and became a coach in Beijing, working with Zhao Ziquan among others. Elena Liashenko ( uk, Олена Анатоліївна Ляшенко ''Olena Anatoliyivna Liashenko''; russian: Елена Анатольевна Ляшенко; born 9 August 1976) is a Ukrainian former competitive figure skater. is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. She is a three-time World medalist, a three-time Four Continents champion, the 2003 Grand Prix Final champion, and a five-time Japanese national champion. Juri Litvinov (also romanized as Yuriy Litvinov, born May 6, 1978) is a Kazakhstani former competitive figure skater. He is a multiple national champion of Kazakhstan and competed at the 1998 Winter Olympics, World Championships, and Four Continents Championships. Derrick Delmore (born December 12, 1978) is an American figure skater. He is the 1998 World Junior champion, the 2000 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, 2000 Karl Schäfer Memorial bronze medalist, and 1999 U.S. National Collegiate champion. Yamato Tamura
is a Japanese figure skating coach and former competitor. As a single skater, he is a two-time Japanese national champion and represented Japan at the 1998 Winter Olympics, placing 17th. Roman Skorniakov (russian: Роман Скорняков; born 17 February 1976, in Sverdlovsk) is a Russian-born figure skater who mainly represented Uzbekistan. He represented Russia early in his career before switching to Uzbekistan in 1996. Skorniakov is the 1997–2003 Uzbekistani national champion.
