National Council (Monaco)
The National Council (french: Conseil national) is the parliament (legislative body) of the Principality of Monaco. The body is composed of twenty-four members, who are elected from lists by universal suffrage. Councillors serve for five-year terms, and though it may act independently of the Prince, he may dissolve it at any time, provided that new elections be held within three months. The Council meets at least twice per year to vote on the country's budget and bills proposed by the prince's government. Ordinances (executive orders) are debated in the Council of Government, and once approved, must be submitted to the Sovereign Prince within eighty days for his signature, which makes them legally enforceable. If he does not express opposition within ten days of submission, they become valid. The current President of the National Council is Brigitte Boccone-Pagès. Jean-Louis Campora
Jean-Louis Campora (born 19 November 1938) is a Monegasque physician, politician and businessman. He served as the president of AS Monaco FC, the national football club of Monaco, from 1975 to 2003, and as the president of the National Council from 1993 to 2003. Early life and family background Jean-Louis Campora was born on 19 November 1938 in Monaco. His father, Charles Campora, served as the president of the AS Monaco FC, the national football club of Monaco. His twin sister, Anne-Marie Campora, served as the mayor of Monaco from 1991 to 2003. National Union For The Future Of Monaco
The National Union for the Future of Monaco (''Union nationale pour l'Avenir de Monaco'') was a centrist political party in Monaco. It ran as a part of the Union Monégasque list. In 2013, National Union for the future of Monaco and Union of Monegasques formed a political group Union Monégasque. In the 2013 legislative elections, as a member of the Union Monégasque, the alliance won 38.99% of the popular vote and 3 out of 24 seats. Rally for the Monegasque Family ( French: ''Rassemblement pour la Famille Monégasque''), also known as Promotion of the Monegasque Family ( French: ''Promotion de la Famille Monégasque'') was a Royalist political party in the Principality of Monaco. Founded in 1998, as Rally for the Monegasque Family (RFM), and led by Jacques Rit, RFM joined the centrist coalition Union for Monaco (UM) in 2003. Michel Boeri is the current president of the FIA's Senate and a vice-president of the World Motor Sport Council.
